Well I did post an answer but it dissapeared - i think i took so long over it that it timed out!

The jist of it was: Worst bit - Melanie Williams vocal/lyrics- i just dont like her voice at all Best bit - the backing vocal oohoohwoohooh - i like that %: 45 Another album - yes please, & a 4th & 5th etc . . . I really like Gillian's voice & i think she is missed a bit from NO - the 2 TO2 albums proved that her & steve can write some top tunes together & I'd like to hear lots more please!

Love the oooooooohhhhhhhhhh bit but I think that other womand voice is just a bit too piercing. Call me nieve but I don't understand the film clip.

But its a very not NO song - I think TOT manage to be very different in that way, but still good.

Selfish is still me fave, though. Then again those are the only two I've heard - but that will all change once Conrad and I have resolved our little gripe with the inefficient Australian postal system.

no posting? conrad, no fair. I have exams now for the next TWO weeks even though QCS is over. And they are all important exams but I'm still posting! Can't go two weeks without posting! I'm also studying, however. And getting lots of sleep, eating well etc etc. All the stuff they told us in the silly "Study tips' brochure you get. Need to get good marks so I can pack up and move to London after Uni. For goodness sake - aplace where things actually happen.

It's quite a toon!

It kicks off Super Highways, the second and final Other Two album. I think Ms Williams sets it up really well - her vocals are spot-on and really kick the thing forward. The lyric is also inspirational:

"We are closer, closer than we've ever been to another life..." and

"I just don't care what people say/Don't let them call you crazy".

Well they certainly motivated me when I was pissed off. OT were dropped not long before Super Highways was released so it never received any promotion. Because of Gillian's retirement from music, it's unlikely that her and Steve will ever record any more OT material which is a shame. You Can Fly was supposed to be released as a single but never was.

Used to like "Ain't No Love" by Sub-Sub,so I don't know why Melanie Williams is so annoying on YCF.Should have had more Gillian.

Melanie Williams' vocal is a bit odd at first but the subject matter makes up for it.

The song is quite good, but it really should be Gillian singing. I love Gillian's gentle voice but can't stand that other womans voice.
