Yeah, I assumed that too. Second time I burned myself by not reading the rules properly before picking my roster, or I'd have done things differently. Oh well, no use crying about it now.

I took a chance on making Ronaldo my captain today and it looks like it paid off. :clap:

I think we read it properly and the organizers just changed their minds. This is exactly what it says and it's difficult to interpret it in any other way:

"After the group stage all players will select a new squad from a revised player list."

a weird game, i must say. it seems i didn´t get the rules AT ALL during the process. sometimes i thought i did but it´s clear i didn´t! :shrug:

The Pathetic Puffins lived up to their name! :shrug: Have to admit didn't always get the scoring - would watch one of my players play really well, then find out the next morning they had got 1/2 a point? :confused2: Congrats to all those considerably better than myself and thanks to all those who have made me look like I almost know something about the game! :laugh:

Well done to The Muddy Boots. 3rd place for me, never really recovered from the day i couldn't access the net in order to edit my team.

Congrats to Muddy Boots. Good to know someone in our group rocked. Must have finished in the top .2% overall. I was quite happy with my 5th place finish. Not bad for an ignorant American. Even finished in the 96th percentile in the North and Central American and Carribean zone, which is actually quite sad.

yeah, i agree with this. that´s why i said i didn´t get the rules. it wasn´t a football game, more like a stats game. if a player controlled the ball during the whole game and made his team play better (like perhaps Zidane against Brazil) that wouldn´t be reflected on his points. and if another player shot 10 times a game but none of those shots were even close enough of a goal (Cristiano Ronaldo!) he would score a lot of points. pure statistics, very little about football. :shrug:

That's the problem with fantasy anything. Football, baseball, etc. You just have to know the rules and pick your team based on the fantasy point rules, not who actually played well. Zizu has great ball control but that doesn't mean shit in fantasy land. Forwards that the best players to have. I'd have a 0-0-10 alignment, if the rules would let me, even though that would be lunacy in real football.

i even saw some teams having more than 3 players of the same team playing, which i thought it was forbidden. oh well! :shrug:

You can't have more than three players from the same team only in your initial team roster. I haven't found that in the rules though. I simply transferred a fourth player from Italy and it worked!
