Doesn't this piss you off?

I don't want to dis the game, I realise it's the world game and there's alot of skill involved but why do the players have to act like nancy boys? They all seem to roll about on the ground when they "get hurt" and it's like, "get up you idiot". These players wouldn't last a minute in an Aussie Rules game. There is alot more body contact and our guys just get up and get on with it and don't act like bloody wussies.

Sorry, but I really think all that carry on spoils a good game.

Who do you have in mind exactly?

Don't have any particular player in mind as I don't know many of them but it just seems that these sorts of tactics have become more prevalent and used by more players over the last few years.

I think its a fair point... Every aspect of a top modern day footballer's life smacks of molly-codling.I think this trancends onto the pitch,often resulting in some big girls blouses diving and rolling all over pathetically.Its sadly becoming more and more frequent in the game... One example that sticks in my mind,was when Diego Forlan playing for Man U needed someone to come off the bench to put his shirt back on for him If someone is being babied constantly,then its highly likley they will be a big girls blouse.IMO

There are lots of floppers in football. Every team has at least one. It's got more to do with a guy trying to get a favorable call from the referee, cheating, really, than with being a Nancy boy. It's true in other sports too, just in slightly different forms. In basketball and American football, whenever a player thinks he may have been fouled, he looks at the ref and whines for a call. It pisses me off there, just as it does in football. It should result in a yellow card. If they threw a few yellow cards at the floppers, that would stop it quick enough. One of the games I watched over the weekend had a king flopper. I don't remember, but it may have been an Ecuadorean. Anyway, that is my number 2 pet peeve about football, after bad offside calls. If the player on the team with the ball is even with the defender, IT'S NOT OFFSIDE! It's tough enough to score as it is without that garbage.
