nothing to fear. lets win the group, then see who we get. Germany pose no threat

our Centre backs are outstanding. only the ageing Larsson poses a problem.

happy that Hargreaves is in. lay off him. sad that Gerrard will make way, but we're saving him for the next round.

About time little MO got off the mark. then we'll all be happy.

and Theo will get 20 mins if things are going well.

score prediction: 2 or 3 nil to England.

good call from sven to rest gerrard and crouch cos of their yellow cards.

hargreaves, lets hope he can change my opinions of him today. would have preferred to see carrick in there.

a goal each from rooney and owen would be nice, and lampard has come close in the first two games.

im going for 3-1 to england. (rooney, owen, lampard)

Sir Bobby Charlton is staying at my mates hotel today so think i'll go see if i can get a photo with him and autograph.....funny thought he would've been in germany cheering on the boys.

Germany pose no threat? Confident bunch, aren't you?Do any of you lot ever predict England to win by less than 2 goals? Must be the great weather that makes you so cheerful.
Anyway, Ibrahimivic is out, so that should help the differential. I'll go with England 2-1, and hopefully Beckham will have a hand in both goals, as he's on my fantasy team.

Is the stadium in Cologne ,where the game is being held tonight, the one where New Order supported Robbie Williams in 2001??

Just curious that's all

SKY NEWS

"A huge television screen which was due to show England's World Cup game against Sweden has blown over.

Witnesses said the 20ft by 33ft high definition digital screen at the Fan Park at Millennium Point in Birmingham rocked backwards and forwards before finally collapsing shortly after 2.30pm.

The screen - described as one of the largest in Europe - comprises a mosaic of smaller television sets within a steel frame and stands more than a yard off theground.

The screen itself is thought to be intact and no one is believed to have been injured in the incident."

Awesome cross to Gerrard. To bad Engerland blew it. So much for all these 3-0 predictions I've seen here. At least they win the group and get to avoid the hosts.

As long as we don't concede another corner in the whole competition we should go all the way then?

I understand that Ecuador are currently practising long bouncing throws to the box (they've already done near post corners).

From a reasonably un-biased viewpoint, a draw was a fair result between two evenly matched teams. In my opinion, neither squad is equipped to go much further.

about spot on that...

with neville and owen gone, the squad is now alarmingly weak.

what was that whopper Sven thinking bringing Theo Walcott? Where was the sense in that? he's scared to play him. maybe he's deluded himself into thinking that Theo will score the winner in the final, and everyone will say Well Done Sven, inspired move, here's your knighthood,

(now fuck off back to Sweden, you overpaid turnip.
