One of the things that made me laugh in Greece was the number of Scots parading up and down in Swedish shirts.

Had they been Celtic fans supporting the King of Kings, then fair play, but most of them were huns complete with hun tats! How I laughed when the bundeshodentragers knocked 'em out!

Over in Greece you can get an English breakfast, Irish breakfast (it's plastic), Welsh breakfast and a Scottish breakfast. The only difference between the Scottish breakfast and the English breakfast was the Scots one had a chip on its shoulder! :evil4:

you say that most of the fans were 'huns'. by that i presume you mean rangers fans. having been born and brought up in scotland (but exiled to england 10years ago)i can assure you that the vast majority of rangers fans will be supporting england in this world cup. most rangers fans will always support any british team and any team that is playing against the rep of ireland. in fact actually most fans of both old firm teams have very little interest in the scottish national team, and scotlands support is mostly made up of aberdeen, hibs, and other fans. to say that rangers fans were wearing sweden shirts to piss off english people is too incredible to believe. they were probably celtic fans who like sweden due to larsonn, and nothing more than that.

You honestly expect a Celtic fan to say that he is a Rangers fan? I was talking to these guys and they were all Rangers.

if you say the were rangers then i believe you. but all i'm saying is it would be a very small minority of rangers fans that would support a team that were playing against another british side. and especially sweden - who larson plays for. ive been a rangers fan for about 30 years by the way..

I want Engerland to do well, why shouldn;t I, there a "home country". However, there is a certain insanity among English fans and commentators, that I find really hilarious.....a prime example is their constant treamtent of Rooney (awfully Oirish sounding name isn't that? ;) ) as some sort of Deus Ex Machina secret weapon....lads, no offence, but I reckon somebody ties his laces for that boy, defo a few double entries in the family tree. Granted he's a fucking genius with a ball, but there's 10 other world class players out there, with him, it just seems fucked up to me. Anyway, between that and 1966, yous do wind people up a terrible amount. The only reason I would not wish you to win this one is cos I'd hear about it til I die.

So I will continue to root for England, but when yous piss it up the wall I'll be rolling in the aisles with the rest of 'em ;)

I don't think anyone actually expects England to win it, it's this vague pipe dream that has been around for 40 years now. We may beat the Portugeezers, but Argentina will be a bridge too far. I would fancy us to do the Germans though in a one-off, so fingers crossed they can do the Argentinians.
