Shouldn't that be Sven standing and Becks kneeling?
In the face of a huge load of eveidence to the contrary, I'm going to go with the mindless and totally unjustified optimism of predicting an England win... ![]()
SHEDi xxx
I think Portugal are better, but with Deco (and Costinha) out, I'll pick England to pull this one out, in another uninspiring effort.
5 sending offs
one of which will be paul robinson for punching someone in the face a'la pepe reyna
If our defence hasnt improved since the Sweden game then i think well get shown up as chancers who managed to slip through this far.
Weve only 3 games away from being world champions though, and if Lampard & Rooney can find the goals theyre threatening to score we could just pull it off.
Hope so...
Just please win it within 90mins,if we hit extra time and/or penalties we`re out.
Got a feeling it will be a high scoring game ,3-2 OR 4-3 maybe.Hopefully to us of course but i won't hold my breath
And if it goes to penalties i've decided i won't watch it.Cant stand watching England in penalties.I'll go outside and have a cig
Who knows!
Lets hope it goes our way!
But have a brilliant day everyone, wherever you end up watching the game............
I'm off out now.......going to be a long day!![]()
I think England has been more lucky than efficient so far... all these Portugese out is another element of their luck...

You always need a bit of luck. You remember that game against Paraguay when the French lifted the trophy?![]()
I'm hoping we turn it on at last today, and the French do the honours over Brazil.
Beating France, then Germany in the final. An Impossible perfect dream?
Who'd have thought an Argentine Ref would be so down on England eh?
Mind you...Rooney wants a lifetime ban, goring people in the balls is not good. From "rooney will win it for us" it's turned into the ilttle cock ruining it for you, possibly.

Well, here they just told us they would go to F1 once the game is over :p
Well, at least Becks won't be able to boot a penalty kick into the upper deck this go-around!

Stamped on Carvalho's bollocks. Straight Red - can't believe that Hansen, Lineker, Wright and Shearer are claiming he went for a shove on Ronaldo just after the incident ![]()
Shearer also says that Rooney should go back to the Utd training ground a "lay one on Ronaldo" What a cunt.
I wonder how many fights are gonna break out all over the place tonight ![]()

So its onto 2010 then!!!!! we were shite in most of the games
At least you's made it. Fcuk knows when Scotland will qualify fer anything!!!
I was pulling for England, despite all the connections between Brazil and Portugal. I have my reasons to dislike Scolari, the luckiest coach ever. ![]()

You can't blame the pundits blaming it on the push. The ref does fuck all before bar blowing the whistle and holding his arm out and blowing the whistle. And watching how Ronaldon and those fuckers antagonised Ronney - thick though he is- I'd fucking lay them out whether they were my team mates or not.
A real shame. But I must admit, we did not play well enough to win. Portugal were shite, even with eleven. Fuck 'em.
:bag:
I`ll give Ronaldo half a season at Man Utd now, firstly he pressured the ref to dismiss Roo-and then knocks us out of the fuckin competition.
How much stick is he gonna get next season...
And so it goes........
Just another day in the duty of football.
We all know how it goes, we could go on forever looking for excuses, but we all know the score.
Football is harsh, and unfair, we've been there a million times...........
Today I had one of the best days ever, met LOADS of mates I thought i had passed up may years ago. (SM- saved my life once, and gave me a lift today so I could drop my car home and get hammered.) Football is about so much more than it is, it's about mates and good people thorugh the years- WIN or LOSE.........
The most important thing, is to always remember where you are coming from.........
I know, and that's one thing I am poud of.....
been in this place TOO many times, but going out again now, and am going to have one fuck off good time.
I fucking love football.......
ENGLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope Rooney gives that fucker one smack in the chops!![]()
Don't need to clarify further do I????????
ROONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Arf!
One love, dont need another one.
Ronaldo!!!! ![]()
fuck England and their shite fans.
UNITED!!!
My Physics teacher is obviously going to set a question for us during the lesson on monday about England losing. Last week we where doing about energy and he set a question about an England supporter/hooligan being squirted with water from a water cannon.
'twas hilarious mind you..

i hate Ronaldo's face!![]()
why did it have to be him that took the last kick
hats off to the portugese keeper Ricardo , he nearly stopped them all![]()
What a stupid, thuggish move by Rooney. He should be made to walk home.
I don't understand why Eriksson waited to long to make his final substitution, nor why he subsituted for a substitute, with fresh legs, rather than a player who'd played the whole game. He seemed happy to go to PK's, which is dubious considering England's PK history.
![]()
Well i am not at all glad England got sent home.
Unfairly fucked over by the ref in the early stages of the game, screwed by having a monkey on the pitch later.
I didn't realise he had a history of being such a chavtastic spastic. No place in any civilized sport at all. Seen some dodgy shit over the years but jumping on someone's balls in football studs should really be treated as attempted murder with n,000,000 witnesses.
(PS, I wonder who that foreign looking lass is with Bonz)

'ckin hell.. I got my half time prayer answered by getting him off and putting Lennon on. Unfortunately Wayno fucked that up pretty quickly.
Is it me, or did we just play our best hour of football in the WC once Beckham had left the field? If only Steve Maclaren might make that connection.![]()
Right.. who wants to burn down a Nando's tonight?
wasnt a deliberate foul by Rooney.
When you've got 2 men on yer hacking away you naturally stamp your feet wide to gain the upper body strength to brush them away.
What do I know though? I've only been playing the game for over 30 years.
It's Beckham '98 all over again, bunch of fuckwits that know fuck all about football spouting off like experts. Good job it only happens every 4 years.
If you did that to someone in the street, you;d be sued heavily and probably face criminal proceedings.
It's not even like the little tard (if anyone knows he has a PHD, stick up for him like, but to me he looks like he can't sign his own name) played well, he gave the ball away several times, let it run between his legs at least twice, and was generally a waste of a shirt.....hardly the single handed world cup winner we were told he was fopr the last 3 months.
As I said, he cost you this game and possibly the cup.
Or maybe it was me, I actually started believing you could win it today...OOOOPS!!! I murrayed you.

This was one of my first chances to get a good look at Crouch. That guys sucks. How did he make the England team? Sure, he is dangerous on headers, but he's a complete waste of space the other 99% of the time. No skill, that I could discern. ![]()

Ronaldo's United career is over. Rooney would kill him upon his return.

I'm sorry that Argentina lost, I've always had a soft spot them since 1978, what a great World Cup that was... ![]()
Allez les Bleus! ![]()
I watched it round my mate's house with an English guy who I hardly knew so I had to stifle my glee. Me and Jonny had a sneeky laugh doin silent Peter Crouch robotic dancing every time Eng-Er-Land missed a penalty and Rufus (the English guy) had his head in his hands. ![]()
You mean you laughed more than the majority of Britain did when Scotland failed to qualify?
Have to admit that I was almost quite glad that Sven's tactical folly was exposed, and that even though I naturally wanted England to win, no way would I want to see Sven treated as a hero. I can't honestly believe now or at any stage that he really understands what is going on.
He's now defending his choice of Walcott, saying that it will be good experience for him, he's seen a World Cup now. Sorry Sven, but you can't afford to take a kid on work experience to something like that and name him in the squad at the expense of an experienced professional. Sure, take him along as a non-playing member of the squad, and thus not counted in the 23, but to take someone he had no intention of playing, alongside two known injury risks, was tantamount to footballing suicide. It automatically dictated the tactics, and meant that he effectively cancelled out the potential threat of Lampard and Gerrard, two very similar players who can't contrast each other, by having to play them alongside each other. All he needed to do was switch Beckham inside and Gerrard outside!

Maybe they wouldn't have won it, but they would at least have both created more chances and had people able to get into the box without impacting on the shape too much. Lampard and Gerrard inhibit each other when they play central midfield, they think the same and make the same runs. Into each other.
We exited the world cup because we were never going to be able to create goal opportunities against better teams with the system and players deployed. Rooney was'nt fit and is over-rated anyway. He's not consistent or a prolific goalscorer. We should have gone to Germany without him and the unfit Owen and Walcott and taken in-form strikers such as Bent, Defoe or even Fowler to play alongside Crouch.
Man Utd would in my view be much better off without C Ronaldo now. He's never going to be treated well in England and indeed never has been. In my view he would be better going to a stage production of Riverdance as he's certainly not good enough for Real Madrid.
