Admit it does seem a bit pointless, but if Germany win, it'll at least let them end on a bit of a high, while serving as another portion of just desserts for Portugal...

6-0 to Germany would be good, they deserve it after being impressive hosts both on and off the pitch.

I agree. I was very happy to see Germany win and defeat the whining Portugese.
By the way, they were playing what I assume to be the German national anthem after the game (forgive my ignorance of national anthems) and it sounded just like Go West by the Pet Shop Boys. What's up with that?

The tune of "Go West" has been adopted by football fans of some countries, including England, for various football chants, such as the Arsenal supporters' chant "One-nil to the Arsenal". An orchestral version of the song was adopted by FIFA as the official theme of the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Entitled "Stand Up! (Champions Theme)", it was played inside stadiums after every match of the tournament and is sung by Patrizio Buanne.
The celebration after the game was great for the german people and i like the Nuno Gomez Goal, and the germans goals was great too!!
Bastian Schweinsteiger! Get in there! Finally shows what he can do having languished in my fantasy team for most of the tournament! Germany deserved to win and it weren't a bad game either... JUst hope tonight's effort is so open and attacking...

Thank you very much! I really thought Portugal would win and i didn't really understand why Figo wasn't playing from the beginning. Bastian Schweinsteiger didn't play a great tournament, but the first and the third goal (the shots)were surprising but effective! Hey Man, nice shot!
