Was at the game last night. What a load of crap. The first half we were good, but Greece were absolutely terrible. From where i was sitting, in the East Stand, all the goals came from defensive fuck ups. And in the 2nd half Greece pissed all over us.
Defoe was rubbish. Hargreaves was, predictably, excellent.
Still, Mclaren. He's got passion.

Hargreaves was excellent. so was Gerrard and Lampard. Crouchy missed some sitters. bad ones.

Kind of the Greeks to put out a pub team defence for the first half, wasn't it? The City would have been ahead at half time against defending like that!
Second half it could have been 4-4, and probably should have been. Still, the media won't see any of the obvious shortcomings now they've got an Englishman in charge for a while.
I still don't think Terry is even ready to cement a place at this level yet, yet alone be captain. Lamp Frankard did fuck all again, Downing ain't ready yet and Defoe never will be.
Still, the papers say 4-0, so that is all that counts I suppose.
I fookin hate international games. I'd rather watch paint dry. However I hate painting so I do watch the game.
I'm always worried that one of my club's players will get injured with a bad career threatening injury just like John Barnes and Jamie Redknapp did. Neither were ever the same player again after that.
Thought Gerrard played well although he still tried far too many first time balls which don't work. Thought Lampard did better than he did for the entire world cup. Hargrieves covered alot of ground and covered well.
Defoe doesn't do it for me and neither does Downing. Crouch is not international class at all but until someone better comes along....
Anyway Northern Ireland had a good result last night against Finland in a 2-1 away win and David Healy got his 20th goal in his 50th cap, not bad considering we failed to score a single goal in the Euro 2004 qualifiers. Both of the goals were taken well and overall we played really well. Clingam is a player for future, always been impressed any time i've watched him play. The only negative point has to be Tony Capaldi made a few clearances which were far from convincing. Was a good test for us so bring on Iceland and Spain
