I quite agree, Roy Keane is a nasty, vicious thug. Perhaps its twisted karma in so far as Niall Quinn, Keanes new boss, and a MCFC legend, is setting up the dirty bastard for a fall ?

He might have wanted a world class manager - but now hes stuck with Keane
In the long run I think Keane will turn out to be an excellent manager. I don't imagine for one minute he will tolerate any shrinking violets on his playing staff so fairly soon he'll have a set of players who want to play for him and will have high standards set for them.
Footballing wise, some of the things he has done have been straight out of the sixties/seventies, the assault on Haaland was shocking but don't forget Jack Charlton had a little black book of players and the physical side of his game would have been appreciated then. He also had the footballing ability to cut it as one of the best midfielders of the nineties.
Off the pitch he has had plenty to say and he was right about a lot of those things, his diplomatic skills are pretty low though and the manner in which he said it or the things he said to support his case caused more problems than anything else. But I can't stand dithering management and people who get upset at being told the truth, so I'd probably be in his camp.
Keane was one of those players people love to hate and I'm sure it will follow him into management but most who do the complaining would love to have him at their club. It will at the least be interesting.
Fair point - the difference between hard play and foul play is the colour of the players shirt. Also, you can't fault Keane's commitment. There's a line though, and he crossed it more than once.
I'm sure there's every chance that he could become a great manager in the style of Fergie - defending his players and attacking the oposition whatever the facts.
He's still a cock though.
Loved the time when he had a "disagreement" with Alan Shearer,and calmly walked over and in full view of the ref slapped him one!
