Oh No!! what will we do without our leading scorer? My mates at working were offering a wager on Barton being sent off in the derby, but it looks like he wont even play!!

How sad is it that Joey Barton's our leading scorer?

If he can't control his temper he's going to be the best never was to come from City's Academy!

Its on the back of one of tomorrows rags that Celtic are interested in him,ive not seen much of him playing, how good is he :confused2:

He's not frightened to get stuck in, unlike many in the team.

But that seems to be the problem, sadly.

Fuck him - if he can't behave himself he's not welcome. We've got enough problems without that kind of shit going on.

The word is he wont play for City again, and a move to Everton is on the cards.

heh

where he'll go on to an illustrious career bringing a new scouse dynasty as everton will win the European Cup 3 times between 2009-2011, beating Liverpool in 09 in Roma. He will lead England as captain as they go onto win the 2010 world cup. All the while "where's your brother joey" will be sung by support and opposing visitors alike and will be most popular football chant after Niall Quinn and his Disco Pants! :nonono:

If he stays at City he'll get his leg broken by Roy Keane in Kenos first year as manager at Manchester United. He'll run on the pitch and just do him one.

Do you want to sign Paul Dickov? He's supposedly good at bringing teams back into 1st division after dropping to 2nd....

Yes, but Edwards only had 4 I think anyways?

And Vine's still on course to win our player of the year! :eek3:

enough said...

City, however, have run out of patience with a player whose crime sheet includes stubbing out a cigar in a youth-team player's eye and slapping a teenage Everton fan in Bangkok. Although Barton promised to change his ways, he ended up in further trouble during City's pre-season tour of Thailand in the summer of 2005. In a hotel bar in Bangkok, he physically attacked a schoolboy Everton fan and had to be restrained by his team-mate Richard Dunne. He was subsequently sent home in disgrace and fined eight weeks' wages

Its a real shame as hes obviously a talented player. When Joey appeared on Soccer AM earlier this year he came across as a pretty down to earth cheeky chappy.

His head cant be right. Im sure he gets wound up by opposition players and fans about his brother and that probably is what tips him over the edge. Pearce has probably done what he can with the lad. I hope for his sake then next club he goes to can get the best out of him and he knuckles down. As he could be an England international.

Sell him quick, before he does something stupid again. Word on the street is that none of the city dressing room like Barton, on account of his 'problems' and because he thinks he's the best.
