It's a shame - but life goes on in football! So will Arsenal.
Couldn't have wished for any better memories and footy experinces than those that Henry has given me the past 8 years.
One of the best players ever, and a joy to watch. Think it's right all round for him to go now.
We been bumped on the price, though!

, cantona was a better player, and that steven gerard fella that plays in yer team could eclipse anything that terry henry did, as you remind us so often, he won "big ears" for ya virtualy all by himself.
and yes bonzette, i agree that you got stiffed on the deal, £16m for a player of his quality who has just signed a four year deal, something smells![]()
Henry is EASILY the best player I'VE seen in the Premiership
don't you know anything about football.

Not really he's 30 this year, aresnal haven't won anyhting for how long? Henry himself hasn't really set the premiership alight the last few seasons. i think £16 milion is a fair price, they've made a profit on him what more can they ask for.

Was it only last summer when he could've gone for nish?!
16million a year on sounds like good business if that's the case. Just been a bit-part player this season, hasn't he? Papers reckon Wenger wants Martins as a replacment - not sure he's his sort of player. Too volatile, shirley?

suppose you wouldnt have seen cantona turn a sleeping giant like united into an all conquering premiership winning side with his upturned collar and a few kids, henry won, er a few premiership titles backed by one of the best midfielders around(viera) and won fukall without him....![]()

of course i have. he was a great player. Klinsman had his day too for a while. but Henry, especially in that season when they went unbeaten at home, and he put Carragher on his arse at Highbury. turned him inside out, is still the best. he glided thru defences. his turn of pace on the byline was frightening.
5 best Johnny Foreigners to play in the prem,Goalies apart, for me would be...
1 Henry 2 Cantona 3 Zola 4 Juninho 5 Cheataldo

We won the premiership 3 years ago, FA Cup 2 years ago and reached the FINAL of the Champions League last year. Didn't win it, but we got there, and I for one was bloody glad of the opportunity to go abroad and see my team play in the final. Amazing experince, had one of the greatest times of my life...........
Didn't win anything this year, but i'm not complaining. We've been punching above our weight against the likes of United and Chelsea for years. Anyone disagree? Bring it to the table.
Henry has not set the premiership alight for a few years? Do watch, learn and pay attention..............
Premiership Golden Boot Award:
2001-02 Thierry Henry 24
2003-04 Thierry Henry 30
2004-05 Thierry Henry 25
2005-06 Thierry Henry 27
Just to put those amounts into perspective, top scorer this season was Didier Drogba with only 20 goals and 2002-03 season was Ruud Van Nistelrooy with 25.
For your information, Henry was out and injured most of this season, but still managed to create some magical moments - not least at the Emirates when he scored the winning goal against Manchester United! (sorry lover) One of the best games i've witnessed for a very long time.
OLF - to suggest Henry "only won a couple of titles" on the back of Viera is totally laughable! We had an amazing all round team, we've never been a one player team, at all, and Henry's talents speak.............so i ain't gonna bother.
We should have got more for Henry, the offer last year was considerably higher (never going for free?!) we should have got more. No question.
Actually, Barcelona did offer us the same amount last year because Henry had only 1 year on his contract, however, it's a total disgrace. He's worth so much more........
Tottenham have just bought Darren Bent for more than Henry has cost Barcelona, and no person who knows anything about football can seriously tell me Darren Bent his half the player Henry is? Even if Henry is 30 years old.
If that doesn't prove the argument, I don't know what does!![]()
Nice Speach from a dedicated arsenal fan. and as for Darren bent, everyone knows you pay more for English Players in England than anyone else will pay for them.

different sort of players though, Cantona and Henry. Would have liked to have seen them play together!
What was Cantona better at? I can't think of anything. Finding midfield space maybe, but he wasn't the finisher that Henry was.
And I fuckin' hate Arsenal.
cantona did it for a few years but henry did it for what,7 years ?. felt something was wrong last season with him.maybe he was bit worn out after world cup and not much break.anyway,genius.best player of that type ever in prem.got a massive clap when he left the field in his last ewood visit, decent pro as well.farewell and good luck to a master who was respected by all english fans ![]()
i never said he was crap![]()
for me (as a manc nob ed)cantona had a greater effect, just my opinion if thats ok......sorry![]()
