Why are the majority of you apparently against the appointment of stastically the most successful England manager ever?

"The supporters are 70-30 against Eriksson," said Heidi Pickup, of the Manchester City Supporters' Trust.

"He has a good record at club level but you cannot ignore all his mistakes with England. You would also have to ask whether he still has what it takes at club level because it's been several years since he last worked as a club manager.

"Personally I would be disappointed. The whole situation smacks of desperation

Gallagher would be mad.

and besides, he's not that rich.

and who's Pickering?

its nailed on for Thaksin to take over.

although on TalkSport this morning Athol Still denied there has been any talks with Sven.

well he would say that.

Pickering is the old Hacienda DJ that approached Tony Wilson about starting a Factory dance label. Ended up starting DeConstruction (which was one of the biggest labels of the 90's). Between them with a few backers they'd well have enough pocket to front it.

It's an old rumour about Oasis buying the Blues. Not heard it for a while though. Mike P is indeed a massive Blue. He used to go to Maine Rd with Rob Gretton. There's a cracking interview with the real buyer on the BBC News Site.

Similar problems to those that affected West Ham. All they need now is for Erickson to shag one of the players wives and have him transferred to give himself an easy ride (sorry, no pun intended)... Cos we all know he's got no history on that score.

As for who will go down... If City DO get Erickson then they'll be safe, if not then they're definitely candidates for the drop. Sunderland are going to be OK, I think. So, Wigan, Fulham and Brum.

Sven'll probably do OK there, if the media let him.

The Toon to go down this year :evil4:

Toon will win eff all again, even with big Sam. You can turn an oil tanker round quicker than Newcassel.

There was a bit of sad news from Newcassel,mind.. A guy jumped in the Tyne river and offed himself,in stockings, suspenders, thong, heels and a Newcassel footy top. The police fished him out, sadly dead, and thoughtfully removed the shirt to save embarrassment to the family..:evil4:
