weird, too many big scores on 4er finals, ah? BRA 6 - CHI 1, URU 4 - VEN 1, MEX 6 - PAR 0, ARG 4 - PER 0. it´s clear there isn´t such a difference between all these teams. i´m sure this won´t repeat on semis. Uruguay usually plays big games against Brazil, after all it´s a classic game (remember the final game in Maracaná 1950!). and México is always a tough team to play, especially for Argentina. logic says ARG-BRA on the final game but the truth is no one knows what will happen. the only truth is that there will be tight scores.

I've really enjoyed this competition, plenty of goals as stated previously and i've won a few quid into the bargain. Never tire of watching Argentina and Brazil, they play football the way it should be played. You have to fancy Argentina to win it though, especially as Kaka and Ronaldinho aren't involved and it still irks me even now that they didn't win the World Cup last year when they should have.

Brazil isn't precisely playing as the best football team, by the way, Argentina, is first in American Cup's ranking.

México is playing much better, i guess they're our most difficult enemy in this cup.

Olé.

you're right saying Brazil is not playing as the best team...but they are. Who`s first in world cups ranking?? and what the hell American cup mean in football??

Brazil is now playing with a number of supply players. But not because of that, Argentina will overcome to Brazil, they'll face a hard match.

So in football nobody can underrate a team, that`s Argentina's mistake since mexico'86.

Last World Cup, almost everyone knows and believes, including me, that Brazil is the team to beat. But honestly, I thought that Argentina will win the cup. I really thought that it was their time. But then, the German coaching staff studied very well the penalty kicks of the players and the teams - something that coaching staff should never ignore. You can never tell when you will be involved in a penalty shootout. As you remember, Germany not only defeated Argentina but also England in penalty kicks.

This year, Brazil has not fielded their best team. So again, I think its the Argentines time. But then, the ball is round. Who knows, Uruguay might win it all and prove us all wrong (odds 1:40?).:)

Drinking too much Cuervo amigo?:)

That video always amazes me everytime I watch it. The goal is nearly impossible to score. He only had a angle of 0.8 degrees (rounded) to shoot with, plus the ball was bouncing out of play and he was running full speed. He also used his left foot, although I'm not really sure if he's left or right handed (or footed) because he can score using any foot. The ball just curved on the last split-second. Just in time to avoid the goalee's hand and went inside the net.

Im afraid you're giving a history class, now, we're playing much better, in fact, México and Argentina are the only competent teams in this cup now. They can be a surprise, a surprise doesn't give signals before so there isn't any fundament, see the present, Who is first in the ranking?, us. Over.

Yes Andres, Brazil is not currently No.1 in the FIFA rankings. Here are the current top 10 (from fifa.com):

  1. Italy
  2. France
  3. Brazil
  4. Germany
  5. Argentina
  6. Portugal
  7. Spain
  8. England
  9. Netherlands
  10. Czech Republic

I’m right, i talked about the World cups ranking…not about the current FIFA ranking, so in that point would be…

1.Brazil: 5 2.Italy: 4 3.Germany: 3

The rest doesn’t count…..well, unless Argentina have won 6 world cups and I didn´t realize. And if we see the current FIFA ranking Brazil is over Argentina

But the friend transmission is right saying they are playing better now….yeahh I’m agree….but nobody can underrate Brazil talking about football , well talking about girls neither….or now you’ll say Argentina’s girls are hotter than the Brazilians :nono:
