driving home last night and this tit Adrian Durham on Talksport was slaggin off Carra, calling him a bottler for thinking about quitting the England team.

So Carra rang up the station. classic. Durham shit it.

then this morning Durham rings up on the Alan Brazil show and Beekie ripped him apart for what he said last night. classic.

So what if Carra wants to quit. great for Liverpool. he's 29 now. When he got left out of the Estonia game in favour of Ledley King he was gutted. What made it worse was Wes Brown getting the right back spot ahead of him as well. So, he's had enough. McLaren doesn't rate him. He's well better than Brown or King, and I'd put him ahead of Rio. let him quit. we don't care.

it was classic radio though.

he's no bottler. he's one of the most courageous players in the prem, with a never give up attitude.

Shame for England. He's one of our better defenders for sure. If his reasons are that he wants to devote himself to Liverpool entirely,then fair dooze..I'd be happy if Woodgate(when fit) did the same at Boro..

But if it's because he's spat his dummy out, because he can't get his game with England at this point,due to Maclaren getting it wrong playing Wes Brown infront of Carra in the pecking order,then I personally reckon he's being a stubborn little baby about it,and should go out and show Maclaren who's wrong,once more...

So,is Carra just not bothered about playing for England now,and wants to concerntrate on Liverpool genuinely,or is his pride wounded,causing him to bottle it out of stubborn ego???

Scholsey was a bit different,as he was well and truley in in the England fold when he wrapped...safe to say his decision was influenced by Fergie,but Scholes did'nt wrap England because he was'nt getting included.

No, it was because he was consistently played out of position in that diamond formation, which nullified the considerable talent he had, much like playin Carra at right back.

Don't disagree that Carra would play in any position really.

Maybe Scholes was just tired of being managaged by buffoons (Mclaren, Keegan, Sven etc) :laugh:

Teddy Sheringham got by,so why not Gareth Barry ? :shrug: Coz he's not just slow,but crap aswell,perhaps... Not a good combination when seeking international caps..

I just find it laughable that Gareth Barry 'calls time on England career' Almost obscure

i never even heard that Gah Bah had quit.
