There was a nice tribute in the Guardian at the weekend and today the website has quite a few pictures and articles looking back at this sad event.
Those of us that were in Belgrade last year saw a touching display at the Red Star museum. I was quite moved by a banner which showed the colour of the two clubs joined by a handshake and the words 'Friends Forever'.
Sunday's derby should be an emotional affair for everyone.

even though this was just before i was born it can still bring a lump to the throat, i was at old traff once on the 6th feb for a match,,,, very moving.
Short attention spans... See it with the kids at work all the time - can't be quiet for more than 10 seconds...

Yes I thought it was somewhat truncated. Roy seemed dismissive of my claims, but I felt sure it was never a full minute.

A bit of shouting going on. It'll be even worse at the Manchester Derby sadly. I think one side wanted a minute of applause. The other want the minutes silence.

Seen a bit about the derby the other day on SSN,
the reporter was talking about the minutes silence,
and how City fans that he'd spoke to (at their last game)
to a man would respect it.

went to the Traf,,for Pompey v united 6.2.10 thought it spoke volumes for the history of the club and the fans right to reclaim it,,,money ..people count for more...

Now its 54 years on, Brother order who lives in Stretford, went to the Traf to pay his respects, as he is old enough to remember the babes. Harry greg is getting a testimonial in may though sadly in some ways in Dublin not old traf Brotherhood.
