Well... if ever a thread has to be resurrected, now is the time.

Joe had his trials yesterday and breezed through them.

Joe was singled out by the coaches half way through and told he was through.

Then, he was invited to play on June 8th against Dennis Bergkamps son in a mini tournament (and Dennis will be there rubbing shoulders with the Bonz). Bonz has checked out the clubhouse and gives it the thumbs up and she's also been given a code of conduct so there's no excuses for being barred from the sidelines!

Watch this space.

Arsenal are now my second team. He'll be Arsenal's Ivan Campo with that hair!

Up the Arse :thumb:

(How he's going to fit this in around cricket, I'll never know - go Joe!)

 Well, with Leggy D as your cricket partner, hardly gonna inspire you for a career in Cricket, is it? Bowling and batting whilst lying horizontal on the sofa for 4 hours!

Football wise he's been more fortunate in his choice of partner!

Oi!! I just seen that.

Well, well, well.....thanks all for all the good well wishes, texts, calls and messages over the past 2 days, especially from so many on here. We're home from the hospital and sorry not been able to reply to everyone personally but a quick update.

Joe did indeed break his ankle playing football on Tuesday night. It's been quite traumatic, especially for Joe, but am pleased to say we are now back home and thanks to the wonder staff at the NHS yesterday (all gooners) he is pain free and has a Red plaster cast for Arsenal! :-))We're not sure what this will yet mean for his fotball, but we're back in 3 weeks to see how he's healing as only a Sowter can do he's made a rare break, but defo he'll be out for at least 6-8 weeks min.

He'd just been made captain, and Whetstone Wanderers only lost their first game this Sunday just passed - so he's feeling more than gutted. We have decided to go for an Eduardo style recovery - coz we're triple hard (well he is, I've been a right mess) and he's loving the crutches, although Bambi on ice at times, and it's a slow process getting anywhere. He's more than got the hang of ordering me about after him. He'll be back at school on Monday, however!

I know some of you were going to come and watch him play so fingers crossed in New Year he'll be back!

I'll try and reply personally in the next couple of days but things a bit manic at the moment. Thanks again everyone for all your best wishes.
