he's in final talks it seems. I am pissed of about it.i do know that its life though,if a club like blackburn finish top 10 in prem league 3 years running the bigger boys will come and take.if we go and get say paul ince as a replacement then the mk dons fans will feel as i do now. but man bloody city.

I AM PISSED OFF :banghead:

He won't last very long at Man City. The Man City fans won't like an ex ManU player as there manager. The Thai chairman seems a bit stupid.

Personally I think Sven is a much better manager and I can't believe they got rid of him already.

They've finally confirmed that SGE's departure.

What utter rubbish.

Nice to see a Red return to the path of righteousness though. We can make them better.

unbelievable if it comes off, especialy as he is mooted as a long term replacement for taggart,,,or is it fishing an offer out of chelski, or talking his contract value up?

What the hell is going on at City? Cant f****** believe it. Im livid Why get rid of SGE to be replaced by a former MU player? Im really not happy about this at all, but its too late to cancel my season ticket for next year.

you seem as unhappy about it has me

i'd rather have hughes as manager of my club than that sly cheating crook sven.in 1998 he ditched us at rovers at the last minute having promised all summer that he was coming to manage us :nono:

But surely this is the problem, Liam: he's won fuck all for 8 years: not exactly the track record of a 'top manager'. Plus, Mark Hughes at least has a bit of charisma - I'd be chuffed if I was a Citeh fan, at least given the circumstances....

He's won fuck all for years, for six and half of those eight years he was under contract to England where he oversaw three losses in competetive games. One year at club management, which sees the club he took over beat their biggest rivals (and Domestic and European Champions) home and away, a seven place rise in league position, and a place in Europe, as well as the near unanimous belief he's done a fantastic job.

Like Big Sam at Bolton ,Hughes has proved he can cope with a middle of the table club. Will the Thai chairman give Hughes a few seasons to improve the team and make them a top 6 club - I doubt it! The chairman sacked Sven after he has given Man City there best ever Premier league position, not to mention the double over Man Utd, I doubt Hughes will be manager of Man City by the end of next season.

I agree. i was thinking this morning when i heard that Hughes could be next seasons Allardyce.

Blackburn in for Big Sam then?

paul ince for blackburn ?

Why would you go in for Ince though?

Ok he won Division 4 but he had a massive budget, whereas teams like us and Hereford got promoted spending next to nothing.

My inside sources down at Ewood.........they say we are going to go for Billic when MH decides where he is off to.He's using city to speed up the offer from chelsea.

I hope to god its not Big Fat Sam for Ewood. I'm going down at lunchtime to see if they are growing the grass long in the corners and banning low flying aircraft!!!

To sum up.........Hughes to Chels, BFS to citeh and the man Billic to Ewood. Heard it here first..........

If Croatia do well, which i'm hoping and expecting they will, Bilic may be in demand froma clubs bigger than Blackburn...

Which is a shame because Blackburn would be a good place for him to go.

all these notions seem to be true. hughes will goto man u in 2 years time when fergie retires ( if he doesn't get sacked first) only hope he brings santa cruz and bentley with him first. and ronaldinho, jo and berbatov. sven's a shrewd operator. can he take ji-hai, bianchi and geovanni to mexico with him?

For Hughes NOT to get sacked next season then presumably City will have to:

  1. Finish 8th or above
  2. Qtr finals FA Cup
  3. Qtr final Carling Cup
  4. Qualify for UEFA again (legitimately, not through the back door)
  5. Do reasonably well in UEFA cup
  6. Take another 6 points of United

As much as I would like to see this happen, it just isnt going to.

Hello, Goodbye Mark Hughes

Hello, Goodbye Mark Hughes

Yeah, I can't believe you sacked someone who let Middlesbro put 8 (EIGHT!) past you.

I'd have had the cunt shot instead!

Hughes is an intelligent man, no doubt he's aware that he's being paid with money that (allegedly) should belong to the Thai people, and by a man who (allegedly) organised the desecration of a religious shrine. I'm sure he's aware of all the other allegations of corruption and worse as well.

However, I'm sure he'll sleep well tonight being that little bit richer.

And yes...........Alf is a bit bitter today..........x

i am not bitter either but i hope the bastard gets sacked by christmas :evil4:

i dont think he will though.he will no doubt take bowen along with him.they know how to organize a side and have a good eye for a player. he will be ok and you never know, city might even finish above blackburn for a change

big transfer kitty at city, but really i think he's daft to go there it too risky a place

I never knew his real name is Leslie Hughes.:eek3:

going to be soooooooooo interesting the reception hughsey gets when he takes city to play man ure,,,,strange move,, but what a pension pot these managers are able to build.

Amazing reports that he's been told that he'll get the sack if we finish in the top 6.

I wonder if he's had that written into his contract? It would be a different story if he'd accepted those terms. Surely the most attractive thing about a managers job right now is the chance that you'll get a seven-figure payout after nine months?

He's got £50m to spend and everyone's determined that he'll get a Brazilian.

I wouldn't if I was him - I hear they itch like fuck.

I can hear the conversation now............

MH "Good morning Mr Siantwatibollox......here are some transfer targets I'd like you to look at" Twatibollox "Never mind that ...........meet Mr Ronaldhinho, he plays every week and sells me lots and lots of MCFC shirts around the world...........even though he'll be out till 4 evey saturday morning on the party scene.." MH "Gulp"

:)

Is he a party animal then? I thought that was another one.

We're the the goofy one with the very low mental age who doesn't ever do out, aren't we?

It's the other one, the one with the goofy teeth, that tups all the hookers and can't stop being mad.

No, its the other one with goofy teeth and likes hookers........
