i absolutely love the original with Gary Oldman. So many brilliant scenes. classic film. i never in my life thought that they would do a remake. If one was to ask me who should do the remake, i would say Nick Love, and that's exactly who is behind this new film. Better clothes and a great soundtrack. i cannot wait to see this!

I think it's a truly shit idea this has been remade. Why spoil a classic?

Well from what I’ve read its not exactly a remake. This film use's some of the characters from the original film, but is set earlier in the 80's, and it focuses on the character of Dominic. A young kid who becomes fascinated with the firm (based of the ICF) and its leader Bex. The original film is what made Nick Love get into film making. He’s a great admirer of the original to say the least. So what he did was improve on the original film, he got rid of the terrible clothes and used only authentic 80’s casual clobber. He also added a great 80’s soundtrack, the original didn’t even have any kind of score. The numbers in the firms are large as it would be at the time, not ten in each gang like it was in the original. Basically it’s a coming of age tale set in realistic 80’s terrace culture. The only question I have is, will the new Bex live up to Gary Oldman’s memorable performance?
This is a prequel of sorts so Yeti has yet to live up to his name. Maybe by the end of the film he will ritualistically bleach his hair and grow a pony tail. :laugh:
