Sir Bob
always tried to tell it as it was.
He struggled with names though, which made him even more likable
Met him a few times at Portman road. A realy genuine and honest bloke who always had time for the fans. He will be sadly missed by all those at ITFC.
Started one Engerland game with three Luton players - an absolute genius!
Immensely likeable. Can't say that about many managers who reached his level.
RIP.
Very sad. People remember the sunshine and joy of 1990 but also forget that for most of his international career he attracted more rabid tabloid bile than any other England manager I can think of. Particularly depressing when, as folk above have pointed out, he always came across as such lovely, down-to-earth bloke.
Italia 90 is my greatest footballing memory - very happy times and days. Wherever you may be Bobby, truly hope you're at peace continuing to look upon the football world!
