"King had been on a boozy night out with friends in December last year to celebrate news that his wife was expecting their third child and to mark scoring a winning goal for Hull City, where he was on loan.

When a 20-year- old student objected to him touching her bottom, King sneered: 'Don't you know who I am? I'm a millionaire. 'You're not even in my league.'

Minutes later, after the slightly-built woman tried to stop him touching her hair, he swung his fist and knocked her to the ground, breaking her nose."

What a Cunt

Nasty piece of work who also had 14 previous convictions. No wonder the poor woman didnt recognise him . An average player at best. Good on Wigan for sacking him.

Depressingly unsurprising. Professional footballers have never been the brightest tools in the box have they.See also Steven Gerrard.

King = Found guilty and sentenced for sexual assault and actual bodily harm (to a woman).

Gerrard = acquitted for allegedly hitting a man.

There's a very big difference

I don't really think that's what Johnny was intimating, was it?

They both 'broke the law', didn't they?

Just that one got away with it.

Gerrard was arguably stoopider, because he's got a far higher public profile.

Lee Hughes (former West Brom player )was another tosspot , run someone down, killed em. Left the scence and went to the Police the next day with his lawyer claiming he was scared or something.

All along he was waiting for the booze to leave his body.

TWAT   :brow:

One got away with it? You could argue one was found guilty and was innocent. Both went to a court hearing. I doubt Stevie G was entirely innocent but surely he would have been punished if enough evidence. And there was plenty of CCTV and no doubt witnesses.
