The Peter Saville Show

23 May to 14 September 2003 at the London Design Museum. One of the most influential designers working today, Peter Saville has been a cult figure in both graphic design and pop culture for 25 years since the start of his long collaboration with the bands Joy Division and New Order as art director of Factory Records, the legendary independent record label. He has also created iconic fashion images in his work for Yohji Yamamoto, Christian Dior and, now, Stella McCartney and Givenchy. This first retrospective of Peter Saville's work, drawn from his private archive, will trace his career from Factory Records to his recent multimedia projects while tracing the history of contemporary graphic design and the story of how style culture hit the High Street. Supported by VH1.

Slow Jam to be released in Australia?

An australian promo of Slow Jam surfaced, it was reported by Dennis Remmer, the webmaster of the Factory Discrography Web Site. This is a 1 track promo, but there is no date specified, so this promo might be from 2002. Slow Jam is used in a national publicity campaign in Australia for the new Ford Falcon, and all seems to link this promo to this ad, however the song didn't get much air play other than at JJJ. Apparently, the directory of the 9802 documentary on the 511 DVD was putting together a video for the australian release of Slow Jam, containing footage of the 2001 Liverpool gig, it was supposed to be a single in 2002.

Blue Monday was played by Alex James. We have exclusive pictures by Ness that can be seen online, and Rowetta, the girl from the Happy Mondays, posted a message about a link to her site for more pictures. Link to the picture gallery.
