what the hell did he expect to happen when he hit the tiger with his microphone; did he think it would heel. Maybe he's getting too old to deal w/ tigers.
I liked the story a couple of slots down on the page...
Singer Courtney Love arrested for drug abuse
wow...I can't believe it...I am in utter amazement...
I saw that tiger story also. Made me think of a certain episode of the Simpsons, involving a tranquillizer gun and an onstage mauling, if you'll all be dolls and remember with me.

Ah yes, the "Fear and Loathing Flanders in Las Vegas" episode (if that's not the title of the actual episode, it should be)...one of my faves ![]()

Okay, that was misfortune, but this is just nuckin' futs!!!! Who in the hell keeps a Bengal tiger in their freakin' apartment??????? This is from todays New York Times, you'll have to register to read the whole story, but here's an excerpt from it.
To the sounds of enormous jungle roars, a police sniper rappelled down the side of a Harlem apartment building yesterday and fired tranquilizer darts through an open fifth-floor window to subdue — seat belts, please — a 350-pound Bengal tiger. The daring, and creative, bit of sharpshooting helped end an episode in which the New York Police Department, unaccustomed to bagging big game, nonetheless managed to sedate the beast. Officials planned to send the tiger, temporarily being held at the Center for Animal Care and Control on 110th Street, to a conservancy in Ohio
Thankfully, no one was hurt, but at least somebody was looking on the bright side of things ![]()
As hundreds of onlookers gathered on the street, some began to wonder if this urban big cat would get along so well in the less cosmpolitan reaches of Ohio."My concern is that the city cat won't make it in the country," said Lynnette Braxton, 49. "He's going to have no jazz, no hip-hop. He's going to miss the Harlem Renaissance."
That last quote was utterly hilarious...![]()
"He'll miss jazz, he'll miss hip-hop"?! HE'S A FREAKING BENGAL TIGER! He has no idea what the hell that is! ![]()
The Harlem Renaissance? This is a current story? I thought that was back in the early part of the century (1930's?).

1920s, I don't think it last much longer after the Depression hit (kind of like the Jazz Age, which seemed to end in October 1929 with the stock market crash), but yes it was a long time ago. Let me reiterate: he's a freaking Bengal Tiger, odds are he wouldn't miss a damn thing about the city.
On another topic (Spotty, pay attention), I was unable to access the site for about 20 minutes just now, always pulling up a "server/application" screen with spiel about some "failure to find the server" or something like that. I always seem to run into this in the mid-afternoon or early evening. Bit of a pain in the ass, really ![]()
I had to laugh when I heard that Royo was grabbed by the throat and dragged off stage by the tiger. I immediately thought about that Simpson episode. Checking Siegfried&Roy's website I read about the inspiration of the white tiger. "I had a dream that there were white tigers..." Seemed liek he was dreaming about new shoes.
Too bad this happened infront of children.
I'm not a leftie greenie, but the whole idea of performing animals repulses me, esp wild ones that should be in the jungle

First off, Tristan, I detest Yanni and all new age music. As for being a Hellenophile, after reading about 6 works of Greek tragedy and epic thus far in my semester at college, I am also detesting several Greek writers - although I wish I wasn't.
Also, Corgan should've never shaved his head. When he lost his hair, he lost his ability to play decent guitar solos - for the most part. Now, I think I might be obsessed with Corgan, when he had long hair about 12 years ago, although he looks a bit too feminine.
Now, is having an obsession with smashing pumpkins equivalent to having one about sexual acts with farm animals?
Well I am not into bestiality; I am just amazed at how it even exists; I know people in Montana can get lonely, but c'mon. You do like Yanni, and you know it, and you are right with Corgan and his hair
