I am freezing here, but the coldest it gets here is in the mid forties fahrenheit, so I will keep my mouth shut :ignore:

Yes, keep it shut. It has so far gotten to be 20F degrees here in Boston, with 22in. of snow, and it's not January yet, when it'll be below zero degrees. I guess I wouldn't hate the cold so much if my twat of a roommate didn't open the window when it's 20 degrees outside and snowing.

Well, I've seen people in Florida with a coat in January when it's 70 outside...

It's easy to spot tourists, they are the one in t-shirts and shorts ;)

Maybe LA is warmer, but it's also a lot more polluted ;) and we don't have earthquakes.. only snow 3 months a year :evil4:

earthquakes only happen once every little while, so they are ok I guess. The only time the pollution gets really bad is in the start of summer. I have been wearing shirts and shorts everywhere in LA and SD, maybe it is because I don't own a good jacket or any comfy pants. Actually my usual attire is a long sleeved shirt, some long shorts, and sandals

I was putting up the X-mas lights in the garden on saturday in the pouring rain, didn't really help me to get into the spirit of things - I'd love to see some snow :(

Where I live, it never usually snows until after Christmas Day; we haven't had a white Christmas here since about, ooh, '95 or so (at least, I think that's when the last one was).

it has snowed here about 3 times this month. The last few years little snow. Right now we may have 2 inches on the ground. But it has been known to snow a foot at a time several times a winter.

I keep it all in perspective, nothing is more beautiful than realizing it is spring--watching everything go green after a long winter.

But my real reason for liking winter is two fold..

  1. I( can always dress whe it is cold, there is a limit to what I can do in summer heat.

  2. Winter kills off and keeps away all the creepy shit like big ass nasty insects, snakes, scorpions ect.

I wish it was winter here. Today the temperature will be 37 degrees (about 98 in America) i hate summer, it's so oppressive.

I'm dreaming of a slushy, wet and cold Christmas where I'm at (that's basically all we ever get)

we've gotten light snow here and it's been cold and rainy as usual, but i expect the big flurries to come in the new year

It snowed again last night and now there's ice on the sidewalks. And, as I was coming back from the library, I slipped, and pulled some muscle in my leg, which means no one will be seeing a picture of me in drag for the NOOL community calendar. How I hate winter.

well, on winter it gets cold here, but unusually below 0 degrees. and they say it only snowed once in Buenos Aires, back in 1918! so i´m quite warm comparing to other places.

btw, we´re getting near summer here and it will be getting unstandable in a few days. i hate heat! :nonono:

The temperature here is a little above zero, betwenn 3 and 10 degrees usually. If we get lucky we might have white Christmass again (last time was in 2001), but i guess statistics arent on our side, because this happens only once in 7 or 8 years :( . We get to see snow in the city more often really once every 2 years, but to have it on Christmass, its a also a matter of good timing. I love winter myself for a number of reasons, the main one of them is that its really a torture living and working in the city in the mid summer, when temperature rises often above 36 degrees. So u can't do much about that unless ure lucky to be on holidays on some beach or something ;), while there are always ways to fight the cold (not to mention that u dont have to woory too much in the winter about your diet and how ure belly looks  ).

3 months??? The way this winter is going, we're going to have snow for at least 4 till March, possibly into April just like last year. Already over 19" of the sh!t in NYC this year, and winter doesn't even start until Dec. 22! Fu*king snow. If I never had another White Christmas (we did last year - near blizzard), or any snow for that matter, I'd die a happy man. (Rant over.)

Right now is 32°C in Recife...I will spent all the weekend at the beach, a very famous one called Porto de Galinhas.

Take a look at portodegalinhas.com.br , the place is really fantastic !! :thumb:

It wasn't that cold, strangely, today, but it's not shorts weather. But, if it still stays warm tonight, I'm going out clubbing, since all of my exams are over :thumb:

It's been pleasntly cold here lately (again, not shorts weather, but with a jacket and jeans it's bearable). We usually get cold winds in January, snow sometimes gets here by March, then it's time for spring. Filthy, shameful spring :thumb:
