RIP WLIR, who -- although a shell of their former self -- actually supported New Order pretty heavily through their career. As of noon today, they flipped to a Spanish format.

Granted, the station was not nearly as good as in previous years. But there weren't many stations in the US that even played anything off Get Ready, and they did.

Adios WLIR. Via con Dios.

Thank God for my iPod.

Do you think they'll start playing Stan Ridgeway?

This could open up a whole new oppertunity for Spanish New Order tribute bands, however. Always the optimist :thumb:

That sucks. Wewent through a similar death when a great station got bought out be the corporate monster. No warning, just dialed it in one day and they were playing Fade to Black by metshitallica. WTF? The station break explained it all.

Yep. The best San Francisco station went from New Order to Nu Metal one day. :barf:

RIP all once-great stations.

What a beautiful opportunity for a Mr. Coconut reworking of New Order: Bernardo Veramno, Pedro Garfio y Esteban Morisco presentan "Preparense!"
