RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS have confirmed three massive UK summer shows.

The band , who have already confirmed a show at Dublin Phoenix Park (June 12) will play gigs in Manchester, London and Edinburgh following their Irish date.

Lead singer Anthony Kiedis said: "We’re really looking forward to getting back to the UK. We had a great time performing there last summer. The British fans are fantastic, so its going to be amazing to perform in front of such a massive crowd in Hyde Park...The Queen's backyard! And it’ll be good to play the stadiums when we return to Manchester and Edinburgh."

The new shows are at:

Edinburgh Murrayfield Stadium (June 13) City of Manchester Stadium (18) London Hyde Park (19)

The first ever gig at city of manchester stadium is to be a chilli peppers show? mad. If i had a mortgage, i would have bet that Oasis would have done that. Or some other manc band...

Good spot. I think there could be some N.O. gig action announced any day now, in time for the summer outdoor stuff.

I Just got my ticket. for the ridiculously extortionate price of £42. Thats £35 for the ticket. £3 booking fee. £4 for postage. They'll skin you alive.

And the thing is, that £4 will most likely be wasted, as the last 3 times i have got tickets from there, the postman has been incapable of putting them through the letterbox and i have to traipse across town to pick them up. :mad:

Surely most tickets are sent recorded now anyways, so if you're not there, you're gonna have to traipse across town cos it requires your signature.. .

Well, i think it requires A signature. When i got both years Move tickets, i was in Belfast, and my mother had to sign for them. No problem. Last Summer, i ordered two batches of Inspirals Tickets. One bunch came thorugh no problem, but the others didnt.

And if it requires a signature, whats wrong with going to the next door neighbour? Thats what used to happen? And still does... doesnt it?

just got an e-mail from London Records about this RHCP thing...

I read it 5 times, looking for some inkling that maybe they would be supported by the order...alas...none was ever found...

Tickets sold out in a matter of minutes. Which is impressive. Muggins here is going on his own as his mates got pissed last night and forget to get up. :thumbdown:
