Indeed it does. Now that CDs sourced from Europe are going to cost more, people may well start ordering from the US, where it's always cheaper anyway. That means places like CD-Wow could lose business. The BPI probably didn't think about that when they brought in this stupid-ass rule.
I don't quite follow the pricing thing at all...
ordered 3 Cds from amazon.co.uk yesterday...and all 3 were much less expensive there than they were at amazon.com...
even with the shipping...go figure...

Asda and Tesco are going to have to review their stock levels over the next few weeks because I can see them doing quite well out of this - initially.
Then they will probably be forced by some beaurocratic numbfucks to put their prices back up to over a tenner.
What with this and those guys getting sued in the States for excessive downloading...

Don't supermarkets do a similar thing though, matey? All their CD's are imported from Europe, hence why they're so cheap.
Dunno - they didn't sell 'em when I had my Saturday job.
Ask me about Home 'n Wear - particularly toys/games and gardening stuff...!!!

Some of them do, & under EU competition law, don't think there's a thing they can do about that (except a UK Special Edition with an extra track!!!, but the gripe with CD WOW is sourcing outside of EU, hence why release dates are sometimes later for certain discs.
Also a bit gutting that they now have the recent Mock Turtles compilation Best Of for only £2.99 (plus the 2 quid surcharge of course) - real bargain for the non-UK'ers out there!

As the surcharge is off at the moment, that Mock Turtles disc is a bargainous £2.99 all in!!!
I think the surcharge has been taken off for good; at least, that's the impression the emails they've been sending out has been giving. One in the eye for the greedy record industry! :D Well done, CD Wow!
