Says it all really - have got about 60-odd official ones so far & my faves are:
NO - 5 11 Cure - Trilogy Muse - Hullabaloo James - Getting Away With It Doves - Where We're Calling From Neil Young - Rust Never Sleeps The Jam - Complete Jam On Film & Echo & The Bunnymen - Live In Liverpool (R1 for the DTS sound)
What else might I be missing that's slipped through the net that's an essential purchase???

Erm... New Order 3:16 might be one that a few will mention.
The REM boxset Manics- leaving 20th Century Oasis- There and Then
& is one I've obviously got, but felt let down with cos of the lack of 5.1 surround sound mix - same as the Suede - Lost In TV DVD, even though that said it had it on the cover!!
Got the other three you mention, although one of the REM discs just make me desperately want Unplugged on DVD!!!

I want the Jam DVD, but I can't afford any spending sprees 
Stop Makin Sense And whilst not strictly a music Dvd, Christiane F, features a Bowie performance of Station To Station. Film stands on its own merits as well, avoid if you have an aversion to needles .
Later .... Louder with Jools Holland only bought it because it had NO and Jesus & Mary Chain on it, turns out 99% of it is top class!
don't know what age group you're in, but for the older ones amongst us, I would also recommend the latest Led Zeppelin treasure, over 5 hours of sheer hey hey mama !
Having watched it last night, i also think the Best of REM. In View. If only for the live stuff, and the really wierd video of I'll take the Rain. I daresay that come monday i'll also say that the inspirals live at brixton academy is essential as well.
In the interests of Glasnost, Shug could you check out the TaTu disc ? It may have some , erm ...artistic merit

The Fall's Perverted By Language/Live At Leeds; lots of footage and videos from the early 80s, plus a live show. Worth it just for Mark E.'s fabulous dancing in Eat Yourself Fitter.
Kylie's - can't get you out of my head, to Blue Monday, better lyrics than the original and I would rather look at Kylies arse than Barneys

The posting for The Fall reminds me I've got the Cabaret Voltaire live at the Hacienda DVD, which really demonstrates what you can do if you transfer an old VHS to DVD!!
Anyone got the Pavement DVD & any comments on it??

Think that's what they did for the Fall one as well, the DVD seems to have lost a bit of the quality that I remember from the video, can't quite compare now as I have a Beta copy of that, and my player is in storage.
Not surprisingly, I've the Pavement disc, I really like it, the documentary is great, the videos are amusing, and the concert disc is no slouch either, with one show from Seattle 99 and the Academy in Manchester, 99 as well.

Does anyone know if the Thin Lizzy discs are worth a punt ? I'd hate to ruin good memories of a great coupla gigs when I was a young fella ,with a shoddy disc

The usual ORDER ones eg 5 11, 3 16,24 HOUR PARTY PEOPLE and any that DIGITAL MIKE has done are essential to NOOL's.
Red Hot Chilli Peppers live at Slane Castle is a good one i got yesterday. Also, Manics greatest hits on dvd. Some fantastic videos.
