Stop Making Sense (Talking Heads) is abso-fucking-lutely an essential purchase for any music fan! It's like a performance art piece/ballet/rockshow written, choreographed and performed by it's writer(s?). The Stones Gimme Shelter is good as well especially if you're interested in the history of Rock and Roll. Don't know if you'd call Hard Day's Night a stictly "music" DVD, but it's a flat out brilliant movie either way.

The Birthday Party's 'Pleasure Heads Must Burn' is well worth a look if only to see the Hacienda as it was in 82 and 83. And the Sex Pistols 'Live at Longhorn' is pretty entertaining - the Pistols playing at a country and western club in Dallas below portraits of various country stars, Sid falling over and getting punched in the face by one of the audience, John's acidic comment about Sid ("Look at that - a living circus"), Steve Jones getting totally pissed off and turning off Sid's amp midway through and John's 'Fuck Your Mother' bondage shirt (the same design I wore on my last day at work for a well known assurance company!).
Bought the Stranglers Alexandra Palace DVD for the princely sum of 4 quid from Selectadisc in Nottm today, so will see what that's like
yeah The Jam one, although Weller is a conceited knobhead in the interviews!!
Got both the SFA's discs & are well worth the dosh for the remixes as well
