hey Djs And Musicmakers, ok i need a snynth 101. im in a one man band. me. i play guitar and sing. im a big big big worshiping fan of New Order Joy division. my influences are Joy Division. Chameleons UK. This Mortal Coil. Cocteu Twins. Depeche Mode. Love and Rockets. SlowDive. The Cure. Bauhaus. Jesus and Mary Chain. Echo and the Bunnymen. The Smiths. Soft Cell. tears for fears. Siouxsie and the B. Sisters of Mercy. Lush. Modern English. dead can dance. clan of xymox. A house. house of love. stockholm monsters. happy mondays. Cabaret Voltaire. clock DVA. blur. sigur ros. i want to brink back the flavors of post punk new wave, old goth music. now i want help on what drum machine to get to accomplish this? i want to have preferbly a MODERN drum machine that also can produce old retro and new wave sounds while still maintaing modern capabilities. i want to be able to play this drum machine live and leave it alone once in a while so i can play my guitar as well. what other tools do i need to accomplish this? sequencers. samplers? ok now for the snyths. i dont mind what i get i just want to create what i love. i heard junos, jupiters, aprs are what do it? i wouldnt mind getting a vintage snyth. the only bad thing is, it may break down easier. is there any modern synths as well that may accomplish what i want to achieve? please help me pros, makethis dream of mine possible by filling my head with knowledge, so i wont by a piece a shit from ebay.

The music scene around me consists of everything I'm not interested in (country, blues, metal, angsty-teen rock, etc.) and nothing that I am interested in.
