Two Words: Loverboy, NBC

Dammit, I was too slow! It's over!

Anyway, Loverboy was performing on NBC just now on "Hit Me baby One More Time" (one-hit wonders come back for one last try...yeah right).

There is more, however: the lead singer said they'd be back to perform "Hero" by Iglesias Moleman

Oh, the song they performed just now? A horribly out-of-sync "Working for The Weekend", sans red exercise headbands and hair for that matter

Maybe they should change the band's name to Lovergit...

A new level of shittyness: A Flock of Seagulls is on now, warbling "I Ran" :dead:

Is this a repeat show? From what I read elsewhere, it appeared that Loverboy's singer was gonna have a heart-attack trying to get through the first song. All I know is that Flock Of Seagulls were even more awful than I remembered from the few seconds I caught them on that show while channel surfing.

All I can say is "thank God New Order aren't on there"

The lead singer did look a bit winded at the end there, I can't wait to hear his take on "Hero": "Let me be your hero, let me work for the weekend..."

i watched last week with haddaway, the knack, tommy tutone, and vanilla ice (i missed the motels' performance--never liked them anyway). i didn't watch the second half where they sing the 'new songs' (after seeing the knack cover a jet song i switched channels). apparently howard jones and irene cara are to appear this week. i may have to tune in for that one!

There's Cameo slated for next week I think (or coming soon anyway). I can't help but remember the "Senate Subcomittee on Song Royalties" sketch from SNL when Conan hosted, where Tracy Morgan played "the guy from Cameo who says 'word up!'". He takes a sip of water, puts on some reading glasses, looks all serious as he pulls out a piece of paper, and proceeds to say "Word up!"

I got a lot of laughs from this show. Most of these people sounded so bad. But i do have to say the knack sounded alright, same with arrested development.

Isn't Tiffany supposed to appear on the show?

Jeez, that was an awful show, I feel bad that I took the time and energy to tape it so that I could watch it today. I feel like a much poorer person, especially in the mental well-being sense, for having watched that wretched reincarnation of Blubberboy for two minutes. *shudder*

The "at home" segement was laughable mainly because the lead singer (when asked "why has your music lasted" or maybe just offering his opinion unsolicited) said "I think it has to do with the songwriting"

No, I think it has more to do with the red leather jumpsuit and the headband
