Ladies, if you'll indulge me, what are some signs that you send off to attract a male that just doesn't pick up on the fact that you'd like to see him naked?

I'll be taking notes

Given the underwhelming response to your query, Tabbsy, I think I see the problem now...

My hypothesis: "the ladies" have no idea how to signal that they're interested, and therefore, "the guys" have no idea that they're being signaled. Thus, the inability of "the ladies" to formulate a response to your query.

Errm, my hypothesis would obviously only be applicable to the pathetically single.** Obviously, the successfully coupled have worked out the signals somehow.

:read:

** Pathetically single being the chronically single, as distinguished from those singles between relationships.

So.. if what you are saying is "Everything is a state of mind...and it is that which governs me,with circumstance often influencing one's state of mind, but ultimatly it is my mind to coach"you would be spot on.....If not then I'm full of shit.. But if you can be positive in a pulling situation then your chances are dramatically increased..I have been smooking weed by the way..please excuse any text you may deem utter gobeldeeshite:hat:

Hmm, perhaps if we all smoked this "weed" you speak of, our signal-reading skills would improve

Pardon me, does anyone here have some spare Mary Jane on them? It's strictly for science, my good man

Oh yeah, that oughta do wonders for your motivation to meet "the ladies."

Or would it be doing wonders for your motivation to veg out in front of the TV eating pie? :confused2:

you better leave the leaf on the stalk if this is the effect it is likely to take..Hey I aint telling you to "smoke dope and pull" at all...I was just making an observation regarding the "terminally single"mindset you employ

Can you please include me in the group for males that can't read womens signs? I've been single for like a year now, and I go to school full of dancers, actresses, musicians, and artists! And I still can't get a girl friend. And I'm young to boot. I think I should start a punk band and be a rebel. Does that work?

Just back, almost since I am at my Mother's house picking up children, froma week long 500 mile bicycle ride across Iowa. Really, really wanted to get it on with my wife on Sunday but when we got to our destination we discovered that out support vehicle never left town. No tent, no clean clothes just our dirty bike clothes, cash and beer coozies. We slepted on a friend's bus with a few other people seeking shelter from the rain. the next night we stayed at a friend's house and were able to get a waterbed to bottom out. Early that day we found a secluded spot outdoors. The next night tent sex

The girl I like hasn't been at work for almost a week now, it might have something to do with the fact that she'd worked every day straight for three weeks back when we all thought we were closing on the 28th (before finding out last weekend that no, we would stay open until the first of September), so that she could get as much time in before we shut down. Of course, we aren't until September, and she's got the week off.

And I really feel like I blew a perfect chance to ask her out this past Monday, so I'm a bit bummed about that. Definitely want to try soon...unless of course I can't tell if she's trying to signal that she likes me or not. Again, how can you tell?

Anyway...

The beating they're taking at the hands of the Yank women is brutal, but somehow, no matter how much punishment is dished out, they remain standing in the ring-- they refuse to go down. Ladies and gentlemen, you've seen it here tonight with your own eyes. These Yank women are extremely tough fighters, but the Yank men just won't quit."

Left...right...left...right...The Yank men is hitting the Yank women with an impressive combination of jabs and...what's this? Moe Siszlak is flying into the ring...he's taking the Yank Women out of it! These people came here to see a brutal bare-knuckled exchange, and they're getting treated to a manager taking his fighter out without a decision being rendered! This is a dark day for boxing, ladies and gentlemen...:evil4:

I am this close to asking the new girl out...I just haven't yet :nervous:

I look at it this way: in less than a week, I will be starting a new job at the grocery store across the street, I might not see her again (which is good if she turns me down), and nevermind all the other guys that swoop in around her at any given moment (seeing that she is a hottie), I might...just...have...a sliver...of a possiblility...that maybe is just enough...to be a chance...maybe...with her.

And if she turns me down, there's a nice ewe I've been keeping an eye on :evil4:

I just hope that $3,000 I spent on dating tips from Tony Robbins was worth it :D

Tabsy, JUST ASK HER OUT!!!!!!!! She'll like it even if she turns you down, it's always nice to be asked out. And if she's nice, she will be gentle saying no. BUT SHE MIGHT SAY YES!

I tell people how I feel about them. If I'm into you, you know it. I can't stand all the guessing and speculation with girlfriends, just talk to each other.

There was a thread ages ago about why the girls disappear from NOOL. Someone (Blue?) said "it's called getting a boyfriend". Well, that was me sort of. I've been away a few weeks, have been talking on the phone and seeing a guy who the australians might think is cool - he used to be in the Laughing Clowns and Crime and the City Solutions- and plays a zillion instruments and he's really smart and I feel very comfortable with him but it's been a few weeks and I feel nothing. People tell me it can develop over time but I don't get that. I've only ever been with guys that I have had undeniable chemistry with. I love that crazy in love feeling and I know that fades and I know how it morphs into something deeper and wonderful in a different way but I've never met someone I felt nothing for and developed feelings for after weeks, months or years.

Nothing's happened so I don't feel the need to have any Talk with him but I know he googled me so Dan, if you're reading this, this was The Talk. xx

As long as you pay for your ticket to Sweden, you're invited.

I'm not sure I really want to pull back the veil on B&S, as they're one of the few bands that pull off "mystery" very well these days. But on the other hand, it looks like a good read, with co-operation from the band members themselves :thumb:

Hey Tabbsy! Here's something for you to read:

PUT THE BOOKS DOWN AND ASK HER OUT ALREADY!!!

If nothing else, you might get some nice soft warm wool out of it. :evil4:

Hey, books are my friends!

B&S book: you tell 'em, Trevor!

Ball Four: Yeah, who needs women when you've got my memories of one wild and crazy season

All The King's Men: Or my loosely-based story about Huey Long

Gene Wilder: Gilda was a needy bitch

The other books: (stunned silence)

GW: Well, she was!...

The other books: Yeah, go ahead and ask her out...we'll be fine over here...beating the shit outta Gene

GW: Oh dear...did I mention Gilda was needy?

While you and "your friends" are having this little round-table discussion, she'll be accepting a date from some guy who's looking forward to stroking her soft, warm wool tonight.
