:evil4: you have to ask ;)

Robertson endorses assassinating Chavez VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., Aug. 23 (UPI) -- U.S. televangelist and conservative Christian Pat Robertson has called for the assassination of left-wing Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.

Speaking on his Christian Broadcasting Network's "The 700 Club," the conservative Robertson claimed Chavez was trying to make Venezuela "a launching pad for Communist infiltration and Muslim extremism all over the continent."

Citing Chavez's close ties with Cuban leader Fidel Castro and Venezuela's significant supply of oil, Robertson said the need for his elimination is justified, CNN said.

"We don't need another $200 billion war to get rid of one strong-arm dictator," he said. "It's a whole lot easier to have some of the covert operatives do the job and then get it over with."

The White House denies trying to kill Chavez though does accuse him of trying to transform Venezuela into a Cuba-style state.

"You know, I don't know about this doctrine of assassination, but if he thinks we're trying to assassinate him, I think that we really ought to go ahead and do it," said Robertson during a broadcast of The 700 Club.

"We have the ability to take him out, and I think the time has come that we exercise that ability."

Im still up in the Air about Chavez. All seems to be in the process of being put in place in Venezuela though - and He seems to be on the side of his people. His politics are interesting - a sort of locally applied marxism/ long revolution. I heard Richard Gott speak on it, and he put accross some pretty convincing arguments. By the looks of things, the US military are building up quite a presence on the Columbian boarder. Having Fucked up Nicaragua, Cuba, and most of the rest of South America, why stop there. This christian is quite correct though - if they are to "take out" Chavez, it will be done in a subversive way - like they did attempted overthrow of the government 2 years ago which was captured very well by 2 Irish filmmakers.

I look forward to reading Gotts book anyhow. He is a fantastic writer - and knows what he is talking about when it comes to South America.

Norway and Sweden already invaded the US. It's called Minnesota and Wisconsin. Got to keep them separated so we imported Germans and Irish as a buffer.

Next step is probably invading Alberta, it's closer ;)

As an American, it's my patriotic duty to call for the assassination of Pat Robertson.

That reminds me. I went to IKEA the other day to see if they had any Ingmar Bergman videos. I bought several of them, but when I got home and took them out of the box, all I saw were some pieces of plasitc shell and a few spools of videotape. Swedish bastards actually wanted me to put together my own videos at home! Luckily they included an allan wrench.

if the us wants to invade anywhere for oil then they need look no further than my 14yr old daughters face, mind you they would have to remove the current dictator known only as (blackhead), and his evil minions the "zits",this could prove more difficult for the us than they imagine and could well desend into another veitnam for them ,with the locals hiding under the surface only to spring up and attack when they least expect it. im a twat i know.:D

To twist the South Park lyrics a bit, invade Canada, it's not even a real country anyway! (JUST KIDDING to our Canadian friends, I do not wish anything untoward our neighbors to the north.:) )

But....... I came across this item about Maria Sharapova yesterday, I guess the photographer found what he was looking for

Maria, Maria....

Before and after banner shots......

Tennis, anyone?

If we do invade Canada, it looks like we'll need to send a Mountain Division or two.

Where do I enlist? :D

We've got to invade New Zealand first before we can join you in invading any other countries. Then again NZ should be a walkover, as they have like 3 planes and 3 ships.

question to americans, what is the link between this Robertson character and Bush if there´s any?

i still don´t like Chavez 100% but i admit he made a couple of good decisions. still too "populist" for my liking but he´s closer to what i like than what i don´t like. the problem is that the people is REALLY divided in Venezuela. many ones have too much and many ones haven´t so Chavez is the perfect love/hate figure for venezuelans. notice how "his" half of the people went to the streets to take him back when USA tried to knock him down using the militars and oil impresarios. i respect that.

How can a so called Christian avocate having anybody killed.

"Thou shall not kill".

Robertson is an evangelical "Christian" leader, and as such, has enormous influence over one of Bush's most important political bases. However, it appears that he's gone too far on this one.

Because like many evangelical "Christians," he's a hypocritical arsehole.

If I could do photoshop, I would so be working on making a "Death Wish" poster with Robertson's head superimposed on Charlie Bronson's :evil4:

But I can't...

They both Evagelicals & Republicans who cater to small-minded reglious people. I could go on but I won't cos I get too upset.

I can't believe how stupid most of America is. Next we'll be teaching the earth is flat and not round in public schools. The Evangelicals are attepmting (and succeeding in some cases, Kansas) to stop teaching Evolution and teach Creationism.

A nation of Purtians, indeed.
