That's very kind of you.

I heard that number one was something about a river greenbelt but I couldn't get quite so excited about that one. Perhaps you can sell it to us.

Do you have any BIG things in your town? Like a massive ball of twine or anything? You know how some US towns use them to lure tourists?

Wasn't suds and spuds?

Keep in mind "wank" is not in everyday usage here.

It's a constant concern. I've mentioned it in other threads.

One might almost say it's an obsession.

Does it do anything Pats? Light up at night or maybe it revolves and you can dine inside it?

DC, you need to get a job here with the Chamber of Commerce or the Visitor's Bureau. The greenbelt follows along the Boise river for about 15 miles. If you like to run, bike, or roller blade and not have to dodge cars in the process then it's the thing for you.

No real gimmicks to attract visitors. The college football team's field is blue turf. Maybe that rings a bell with some sports fans out there. I'll leave the rest of the surprises for those who want to see the city for themselves.

ahhh...Smurf Turf...I had forgotten about that stuff...

You are wise, Jeff.

I hope you had a good time.

I had. One of the many good things about the city was the seductive voice of subway announcements. You know the one that says "Doors closing". Sounds like a nice black woman in her 30's. Very siren-like, if you excuse the pun.

Underground like a wild potato.

Glad to hear it. Hope you missed the subway during commuting hours. It gets a bit crowded then.

It's a hypothetical giant potato, DC.

Underground like a wild potato.

Now that's the kind of thing I'd like to visit.

Would I offend anyone there if I ordered a meal without potato?

I'm more of a rice and pasta sorta guy.

Quite a few interpretations open to that one.

Good question, P. We shouldn't all be focussing on one person's city in the event others get bored. I have never been to Brooklyn, and would be willing to learn more about it. Is there a Discovery Center there?

Perhaps Jonathon can take a wild stab at which is the only US state I've visited?

No offense would be taken, and if it was then they are shallow people who should be more open minded to the eating preferences of visitors. The eastern part of the state is where the bulk of potato growing takes place, so you're likely safe with regard to that around here.

However, if you did not order a sugar beet or some corn...
