I know this is absolutely random, but this title of the thread reminded me of the song Cole Porter wrote, titled "Too Darn Hot" from the musical Kiss me Kate. Erasure did a cover of it around 1990, I think, although the most famous version of this was by Ella Fitzgerald.

Good point. It's damn hot over here too. Just yesterday it ws 105 F. Now it's a bit cooling off, if you can say so.
Jeff, hello from Habilene.

Hola Ian...we had 107 yesterday...gotta love Texas in September!!!
It was kinda chilly last night. It is a mere 54 F or 12 C for you European Earthlings. I may have to wear a long sleeve shirt for my commute to work.

Don't take this the wrong way...but I think I hate you!!!
Don't hate me for it will be snowing here in a couple months. Besides my summers get hot with 90% humidity. Every place has its price.

Am I happy to live in a place where electricity is the cheapest in the world ![]()
I don't know if it's "the" cheapest, but it sure is in there.
It's been a cool summer in Mancland, the temp was near freezing the other night. I've had the central heating on a number of times in the last month.
Note that I'm not complaining in the least! I know what that kind of heat's like, I'm more than happy to slip into a sweater on a crisp (summer) day :D

Lovely expression"Crisp Summer Day".Very Clement in the North East of England aswell today. We count ourselves lucky if it does'nt piss down, with howling Gales 8 months a year. But we don't have immiedate volcanos or earthquake/Hurricane/tsunami's to deal with, thank heavens....S.A.D.(Seasonal affected disorder)is a factor around here tho, cos basically British weather is the shits most of the time,as everyone knows.Today was good.

12C is quite warm. I wear a t-shirt. Here in Poland is now about 24 to 26 C every day. But I know fookin winter is comming. bleeeeeee
I do not function well in hot weather unless I have a/c. Otherwise I am a bitch. I can always dress when it is cold. There is a limit on how far I can disrobe in the summer. Living in a climate where the seasons actually change is wonderful. Sure I will be bitching about the never ending winter in march but soon enough everything will turn green again.
Thank God summer is over. the weather has been nice for three days in a row. The best it has been since May.

So you like to dress, Twist? I rather concur with you. ;)
