Microsoft Word To Your Mutha!

Last night I was typing one of my hilarious "adventures of Jesus and Hunter S. Thompson" pieces when I saw a nice note from the Microsoft folks. Apparently, when I thought I had "already installed" Word, all I had done was activate the "free trial" version, and that expires on the 30th.

Seeing as I'm trying to get my writing out there, I f$%#ing need Word! :banghead:

So I went through my computer stuff that came with the Compaq, hpoing that a disc would be there saying "this installs Microsoft Word." No dice, so I need to go buy a disc I guess. I'm not sure, this is my first experience with having to install Word.

Anyway, before I embarass myself at Office Max or anywhere that might have it, do I have to go buy a special disc for Microsoft Word? How much does it usually costs? Will I have to delete my animal porn files to accomodate it? Will it be compatible with my computer model? Will Barbara Walters ever die, or will she continue to decompose slowly in full view of the American television public?

Answers to any or all of these questions would be welcome :thumb:

A full edition of WindowsXP costs about £120. It should be on there, but i assume your running on windows now so you should already have Word. You sure you haven`t just disabled it?

My vaio has XP and I had to buy Word separately. My old computer had Word installed but this one only had crappy microsoft works, which none of the computers at uni could understand.

I'm not sure about compaqs but it sounds like you'll probably have to go and buy it, I'm afraid. Word's available in the luxury-priced microsoft office package. But you can also find it on its own, though I'm not sure what OS it supports.

I like the idea of ripping off the plot of Goldfinger (especially if there's pussy galore :evil4: )

Plus, I have no friends...

Actually, I may see if my stepdad has a copy of Microsoft Office, he occasionlly has excess software lying around that he no longer uses

Anyway, baby got back...:wtf:
