I think "John Carpenter's The Thing" cured me of any desire to travel there, so whatever ![]()

Yep, a bit to overrated. Some good songs, Fake Takes of San Francisco is a cracker, as is Scummy.
I saw em at leeds fest on the new bands stage mid afternoon. It was rammed. Everyone (apart from me) was singing along to every single word and there was constant crowd surfing. Their fans though are mostly wankers. All scenesters who six months ago were all listening to bands like the Paddingtons (who are shit btw) because they were supposed to be the next big thing and think that Pete Doherty (twat) is some kind of icon.
Can't believe a band from half a mile away from where I grew up are at number one
According to my mum (who knows everyone in Sheffield I think) I'm related to the singer in some way
funny old world

The special effects to make the snow look scarier...dynamite! There's a reason it won an Oscar!
Great lyrics, they're spotty as hell and they've got a song called "Mardy Bum".
They'd be fantastic if their songs weren't a pile of tuneless wank.

Man, that opening scene with the mountains covered with snow, I was all like "how did they do that?" I had to stop the film right there, it was too mind-blowingly terrifying just in that moment ![]()
(btw, I don't think it won an Oscar for SEs, but a quick jump to IMDB might sort that out. I'm too lazy, however :p )
seen this bunch on jools holland last night, utter shite. someone should give the entire band a bath in clearasil the spotty bastards, the drummer had so many craters on his face im suprised n.a.s.a. hasnt tried to do a lunar landing on him.

She looks better in the off license.
