Unfortunately, yes. And Tabsy, working in retail myself I also can sympathise with your annoyance over inane repetitive questions from the screaming hordes at this time of year especially the one about "can I return this after Xmas if it's not the right size/colour/blend of yak hair?" If you've got a recipt of course you fooking can, as if Xmas makes a difference to our overly lenient returns/exchange policy?
The worst instance of mega-early instore Xmas carols I've ever encountered was through the Grace Bros/Myer department store chain where I work; In the early 90's(93 or 94 I vaguely
recall) they started up in mid-September
Needless to say, even our customers were lining up to strangle the managers in Melbourne over that wonderful decision. It's only one song in three at the moment.

on the sick, been waiting over a year to see the guy who can prescribe the extremely unpleasant drug I apparently need. The thing I'm on in the meantime do all sort of nasty stuff to my guts which is part of what keeps me awake. the other part is just not DOING anything.

sorry to hear that. medicine can have nasty side effects. i know this onl too well myself and through my mother who in the end just couldn't take her chemotherapy anymore.

I'm not that bad thank $DEITY, and I WILL be ok again one day. It's just an annoying and pathetic thing to take you down, I mean really, when push comes to shove it's a skin problem, and not even a visible one. it'd better be sorted by next summer, I have some serious gigging and drinking to catch up on.
The Trafford Centre kind of freaks me out. It's a shopping mall that's trying to be something grander. I've noticed that there aren't any clocks in there too, like you're entering into some parallel shopping dimension 
What I hate about shopping is the damned pram pushers. Doesn't matter if they're chavettes or cheshire sets, a woman pushing a baby around is a menace to society. Can't imagine the numbers of bruised ankles caused by them. "Out of my way scum, I've got a toddler and it's about to bloooow!"
It's not so much the pram pushers I hate as the pram not pushers. all comparing their horrid whining little shiting machines and ruining everyone else's day. It's not like kids LIKE the fucking places until they're old enough to shave/steal.
Mate of mine was a Salford U, the bastard (cos he went to FAC51 a LOT, wonder if he knew crazy lacy). And he actually nearly died in the arndale, thought he'd never get out. I always suspectde him of complicity in that bomb :)

The malls in my area are crap, they're like warehouses than a posh mall. I have to go to the next nearby town to get the stuff I really want. I know what stores are going out of business without reading the Wall Street Journal.
When it's the holiday season,I get headaches from breathing the same air with hundreds of other people.
Some of the clothes that I really want to buy have stains on them while they are on the rack.
The fitting rooms are nasty.
I get eyestrain from comparing the design, patterns, and prices.
And also because shop assistants theses days make you so bloody un welcome!.Like the fact you are simply IN their shop is ruining their day.The fact they have to serve you is a such a nuisance for them.Fuck off!!

Also people who ring up the store and ask questions that are really hard to answer over the phone... tryibng to describe a shirt... when they should get off their butt and come into the store like the person the server is trying to help. I know because I am that server - we hate it too! I also hate shopping cause I hate my job - I hate pushy sales assistants and thats what my boss wants me to be. I actually trying to get fired cause Im too scared of my boss to quit, Ive only been there 2 weeks.

Either that or a team of stepford smilies attacks you the moment you walk in. what ever happened to....they do shopkeeper stuff and ignore you until you make known you want help, whereupon they help you as fully as possible.

Well yes.That's a hunter gatherer neccessity.I can except that.I hate it at times but i have a corner shop just out of my back gate which is very handy.

Was in tesco yesterday with me mum getting in some christmas food. i wen off to get something daft, and came back to find an abandoned trolley, much fuller than before. A minute later my mum appears red faced, panting and looked somewhat pleased with herself, and carrying half the butchery counter. It seems she'd be fortunate enough to be pondering the reduced to clear meats, just as a tesco gimp arriveed with about 4 pigs 2 cows and 40 chickens to add to the pile. So basically, she suddenylfound herself underneath the pile of fighting harpies. She musta got about 50 quid worth of meat for a tenner, good freezer fodder, but even, watching grown, respectable women clawing and gouging to get at the clearnace stock was pretty terrifying. Oddest thing tho, it was all the rich bitches with the expensive clothes and jewlery who were fighting hardest and dirtiest. I felt like saying "you fuck off down to M+S ya bastards that stuff's for tramps like us"

It really is incredible to watch when they show on the news, every boxing day, a store opening it's doors for the big sale.And there's a gaggle of hundreds of women practically killing each other to get in the door and grab whatever they can.Fascinating to watch.And bloody hillarious , too
