Oh yes. It's 20 years old, but it's still potent today. A lot of the factories around are very similar to the designs in Robocop.
The steel mill where Murphy gets killed looks like the one in the photograph.
Cement works=cement dust=a powder=very explosive
Good Luck, if yer caught NOOL will deny all knowlege ofyoue mission.
this website will self destruct in 5 mins.
BTW...the news items in Robo cops and that fella's other movies are getting closer to reality day by day, in fact I feel SURE I've seen or heard things from them word for word in the real world.
after that you can blow our steel works up..They are forcing us to work Xmas day for fucks sake..Its like "a Christmas Carol 2005"I can't tell you how fucked off I am![]()

Deepest deepest sympathy for you ,Michael.I hope you get through it and manage to enjoy what Christmas you do have.
I did actually work one Christmas day.Back when i was in Israel on a Kibbutz we worked it because of course they don't celebrate Xmas

My friend who lives in Hemel Hempstead was rudely awakened at 6 am this morning...But she's OK. Phew.

Fucking Carbunckle!...Seriously who knew, what a carbunkle was before Prince Juggluggs famously said it?Did he invent that word?
not surprisingly, I knew the word pre-charlie[1], it's a medical term to be precise, something akin to a wart.
actually, I rather like the building....it only sucks cos it's in the middle of peoples lives and houses (though that shot's taken with a zoom lense so the depth of field is shattered). Would look fucking great in the middle of nowhere.
As for working christmas....well cos I WAS on nights, I got home 7am Xmas morning, which sadly brings no advantage since I am (and ever shall be, let's face it) unencumbered by offspring. I then went back in on Xmas night (one year, the others....there WAS a pissup scheduled :) ) So you get a stack of triple time or double time and a day to say sorry, AND you got xmas morning and lunch. It didn;t matter than we were all wankered on Xmas night, nobody phones any of the stupid things we were meant to man at bloody xmas.....Even our stock-and-trade Passport service morons failed to show up with their hilarious "I'm at stanstead and they wont let me on the place cos i don't have my passport, what are you gonna do about it?" (in all my time there I NEVER gave the answer i wanted....."me? Oh I'm gonna sit here and laugh. While giving thanks to all that's Holy that this country's international reputation has been saved another knock by keeping a fucktard like you at home. And while I do it, I may idly turn my passport over in my hands marveling at it's glitsening validity" or their other one "all these security checks are pointless I'm brittish" "certainly you are sir, and of course no one would ever tell lies about such things, I'll just pop you thru to Mr bin Laden's extension"
[1] There's a family legend about me leaving the australian relatives silenced aged 5-6 when me uncle, on a railway bridge said "look stephen here coes the choo choo" and aledgedly I replied "that's not a choo choo, they use DIESEL locomotives here" :) Must just have been born a cunt I suppose.
BTW....surely the cost of bringing the full workforce in on Christmas is huge. they MUST be facing a serious penalty clause for not getting some order or other in on time. Is it raw steel or is it going out worked in any way?
I didn;t think you could be forced to work a stat day like Christmas....I suppse they just gently intimidate you.

Your right about the penalty clause.. officially my contract states I work my shift pattern to the letter, but the mill has never run on Christmas previously. However the rolling program is two weeks behind and some pissed of Indian bridge builder wants his beams..We roll columns and beams, all lengths, shapes and sizes..Noisey as hell a steel mill. Its like the fingernails down a blackboard multplied by one hundred.Ear muffs required when outside control rooms and cranes,or you would get tinitus in no time ![]()

Out of order when you've got kids. Think we should get a petition together...
And therein lies the essential English/irish cultural divide. You're thinking petition.
i'm thinking.... Angry mob Where can we get 600 milk bottles Will that fire effect our petrol supply Are there any farmers on the site with acces to feritlizer Can the workers get us tailings and cold slag (cheaper than nails)
All these thoughts and more can be yours when you soak up the ambience here each summer.
Miss Champman if you;re reading this....when you picked up the lingo...did you feel an urge to pick up an iron bar and find a police vehicle?
Funny that, cos the image of the good folks of Bolton heading off in a torchlight mob is one that sits awfully easily...I mean....it's not like it ever happened repeatedly throughout history or anything is it :D

I'm starting to get genuine wound up on poor BRF's behalf.
So see earlier notes, and we meet up what? Christmas eve? day before?
miserable fucking scrooges. pox be upon their balls, and their wives' balls.
I've emailed Christo, and he and Jeanne-Claude will be right over to wrap Rugby Cement Works in bright orange fabric.
