My dear sister Rachael finally released son V2.0 this morning...nearly 9 lbs the wee bugger was OUCH.

Young "Ruben" as I believe he'll be called was the reason Rach couldn't come play at Apollo14 (but that nice man Hooky signed a cd for her in Lavo's to make up for it).

Excellent another child to currupt...her fisrt is F1-obsessed, and cheeky wee shite and already has his own shortscale bass :D he's also the only chlid I could ever stomach being round, even when he was still a shiting and gurning machine....now he's just a small mate who's cheap to buy drinks for.

So we'll see them both on here sooner or later.

truth be told there's a touch of the "obellix" about young Paddy, born mental i fear. I would put it down to exposure to passive toking or somethins, but Rach made sure we were all good boy and did that outside while he was about. He truly is a crazy child....and the strange thing is, I do not modify or modulate my natural manner of speaking when talking to him, and haven't since he was about 3. I just rap away at him like was any other mate, and usually have more interesting answers come back. kids brains are fucking brilliant, they still work right and haven't had years of bullshit stamped down on them. If you want to know the truth about something, ask a wee'un.

All my best adult friends are people who never completely grew up as well :D

PS...coke still...tho rach did let us give him wine last Xmas for entertainment value...half a glass of red and the wee bastard was totally off on one, for about 30 mins then out like a light.

beats my granny when i was aged 4, telling my mum to dry her eyes cos everyone was letting me sample their Xmas tipple.....2 hours later as she was changin her clothes after I threw the dish basin round her for no reason (following hurling all the milkbottles down the drive....yes it IS genetic)...she thought maybe mymum had been right :D

Did you no harm - sure look at you now:rofl:

Yeah, kids are great, when they are allowed to think & talk for themselves. Ours are being brought up to take no shit from anyone (including us) & have a healthy misstrust for authority - they're fucking brilliant, they are

Actually....we're not related :)

Many years ago, Rach was at college with my actual Bro. Home was really sucky for her, so she started coming home with him. He kept trying to get into her pants, so she ended up sitting in my room. Within weeks, my mum had gained a daughter...xmas dinner the lot. When her home sorted out her mum was almost in tears at how I and me mum had taken her in. And she gained a son. That was pretty much exactly 11 years ago. How much is she my sister? I'm her next of kin on her passport, "family only" always includes each other, and I'm supposed to be giving her away come wedding day!!! And when BF's have been penises she comes to stay with me cos she knows I'll kill anyone who gets nasty with her :D

I should probably ask Jack to thank his old boy for the sig, cos she really was broken hearted at not going to apollo14 with me and her BF (my oldest mate and the first I corrupted to the ways of New Order)...she actually cried through the DVD I made her of the webcast. the sig totally made up for it, and she chucked her Ricky wasshisface (royle family)one in the drawer :D

I'm so chuffed when i see the right sort of people breeding :)

And any mistrust of "the man" Rach hasn't taught the child...I fill in for him :)

yes...I am "strange uncle stevie"

It's so funny, if he (paddy, son v1.0) is misbehaving when I'm on the phone to rach she just hands the phone to him... "what's up your arse ratrick (sic)" "mum...blah blah" "you're ma's a dotty old bag for sure, but being a dick about it will only make things worse" "ok....hey David Coulthard's still got a job............"

Works every time.

I worked in a special needs school for a short time, andthe other staff were just spooked by the way I'd just hang with the kids and not try and be all "I'm in charge and you;re not". There was one kid in a wheelchair who told me nigel mansell was his hero.....as soon as the other staff weren't looking, I extremely irresponsibly took him for the fastest wheel chair lap of his life....late braking and as close to drifting as you can get with a fookin wheelchair..the works. When we'd finnished, instead of being his usual pain in the ass all day, he just sat and grinned :D And only me and him knew why hehehehe.

(how sick does that sound.....yuk)

I dunno, I get on OK with kids as long as they aren't crying and being twats, and they always seem to think I'm great (no i can't fathom it either)...but I think I'd be an extremely poor dad. You should be able to hire them like videos...let them run around and be all entertaining for a few hours then hand them back when they get awkward so you can go to the pub.

You can hand them back.that's the beauty of unclemanship..REEsult!

Mrs BRF says I am way too soft with ours, but the daughters are mad as hatters, I can't help it ..Tho my 2 year old is a boy, maybe I will kick his arse more..

Tina says it may end up that they treat me as a joke..When I asked why? she said"Have'nt you noticed they call you Div instead of Dad?"

I'm gunna be stricter than a Boa constricter, I assurred her.

Both my sisters have nippers and i love them. I'm not the maternal type but i can't get enough of my nephews and nieces. Every night after work i call in for ten minutes and in those ten minutes as i have a quick brew i wind them up to high heaven!

My sisters have actually asked me to be calmer as it takes them ages to settle the kids down after i've gone. Peter Kay coined the phrase "Uncle knobhead" - well i'm proud to be the aunt...

Steve, congrats on the latest addition!

Start getting the wee 'un into the Order now. You know it makes sense

wee bugger won't have a choice....mum dad, elder bro and strange uncle stevie are all orderites

Rach tries to tell me not to wind paddy so much then gives up cos it's so entertaining. Worse but is getting the "see you fucker, Paddy went and told his teacher (insert "world according to Campbell" insanity)" my usual response is "well, was he wrong?"

And she has to let it drop cos she too likes to bring em up knowing the way things really are. I destest stupid childre...i dunno how you get to be thick young but it happens a lot, and they are painful company by any stretch of the brain.

thanks all of you BTW, she'll be dead chuffed to know that a bunch of the finest people you'll ever find hanging out on dodgy forums send their best :D

youmight be able to, I can't get a peep outta paddy...not cos he won't play ball (I first tried when he was still too young to be a primadonna)...but because at site of mic and red light mummy goes loopy tunes and that's that...the rachael idol show until she gets hoarse. i'm really tempted to post one of her attempts here, but it would be deeply unethical no matter how hilarious (not linda mac bad tho)

It's so true. My son, LOVES New Order and Joy Division. When we go out to the shops, sorry, TESCO, he sings LWTUA at the top of his voice, but screaming the Barney, C'MON, in the middle. I get funny looks off all the old ladies, who think my son is a hooligan. BAD MOTHER!

That Barney has alot to answer for really!

Sorry for some reason I read "my" in your post. Now you come to mention it...you do a little....she's a five star looney who has to interface with normals a lot too.....she thrives on it, she could give you a few pointers maybe, on how to enjoy normally hideous thing....though you seem to be developing a superb strategy yourself.

I've not seen the wee one yet...she wants to be left alone so she can complain about being left alone later...Rach psychology 101. Am wondering where BF is tho.....I have duties to perform :D
