My town's claim to fame is that the Declaration of Independence was written there and Betsy Ross sewed the first flag here. But, more recently, "12 Monkeys," "The Sixth Sense," and "Philadelphia" were filmed here. Fat Albert and Bill Cosby are also from Philly, as well as Eve and Beanie Siegel and G Love and Special Sauce. My town is also known for having sports teams that never win - Flyers, Sixers, Phillies, Eagles - and crap sports complexes and crappier sports fans. In addition, Philly is known for the cheese steak and scrapple - probably why it was the fattest city in the US about 4 years ago. We're known nationally for also being the city on the east coast where heroin and crack are extremely cheap and plentiful, if you venture into the Badlands.

my bigger home town of Bremen is the oldest contionous existing republic in Germany (except for the third reich). even today it is aproud city state. it is the second largest harour in germany. it used to build all kinds of ships from cruise liners to supertankers. it is the home of Werder Bremen. famous landmrks include a stature of the Bremen Town musicians. (if anybody remembers their Grimms fairy tales, they never actually made it to Bremen), and a tall stature of a Roland (known as Orlando in latain counries), who the citizens defiantly set up facing the cathedral, so he would protect the city's liberty.

We're arguably the gayest city in the United States, have Coit Tower, an overgrown Ionian pillar dedicated to the monumental phalli of SF firemen, the only city in the U.S. to have its very own emperor, the island fortress prison Al Capone went batshit with syphillis in, and finally home to the police department that could never track down the Zodiac Killer.
