Truth was I didn't get past the first question. Soon became clear that hers was a narrow and Chicago-centric depiction of "hip".

I see hipsterdom hasn't quite made it to Oz yet. Yes, "hipster" is back in use. See the test graphics for an example of typical hipsters.
