Favourite dance tunes

Ok- with the 28th rapidly approaching and a cacophony of sound anticipated by all, I was just wondering what are our all time favourite dance tunes? I am expecting to hear at least 3 of mine - Spaceface , Pacific State and of course Blue Monday. What other "dance" tracks make you tap your feet?

New Order - Blue Monday, Confusion, TPK, Guilt is a Useless Emotion Depeche Mode - People are people, Master and Servant, Strangelove, But not Tonight Pet Shop Boys - West End Girls, It's a Sin, What have I done to Deserve This?, Paninaro, Closer to Heaven The Cure - Why Can't I be You?, Doing the Unstuck

and an honorable mention for Dead or Alive's "You Spin Me Round".

In no order...the tunes that are 100% probably to get me off my fat miserable whining arse and get up to get down :D

NO are excluded, cos ANY NO track makes me go all mental. SNSS is also banned cos egotisctical as it sounds, I LIKE me own music (if i didn;t why would i make it) and when rich drops one of ours in a DJ set, I'm kinda oblidged to dance.

Obviously there's a lot of guitar stuff that'll move me to the groove too, but I'm keepin it in the more widely accepted definition of dance.

Of course you can "dance" to these tunes, but I won't call them specifically dance songs...

Actually the reason I never could completely embrace Depeche was their lack of dance structure in teh songs. They managed though to make a few great dance ones: Set Me Free (pure disco dance), Photographic Picture (live 83) and Rush (remix).

Nobody mentioned "Move Any Mountain" aka Progen 91 by The Shamen?

Maybe "But not Tonight" is stretch, but I've heard the rest played regularly at Goth clubs and they seem good enough to dance to. People are People is a bit short, but there is some extended version of M&S that gets played often and makes a better dance song.

Loved it at the time, had the original 89 or 90 release,even had that fuckin 17 mixes album. But looking back, it was the beginning of the end for The Shamen. These days only Strange days Dream, Goby and....um the other really old one the name of which evaporated from my brain cos I didn't type it first, enter into my brain. for dance music, I must admit I wish I had a decent copy of Phorward (I bought it off Ebay a while ago and never worked out the best way to mp3 it without involving DJ friends :D )

I think i've almost got the full collection, it's pretty easy listening. Get stocked up when you can. Great for parties. One of the guys has just started a new label called "Tokyo Project" that's a corker too.

Fookin hell...I thought MY tardis stopped too long in 88/89/90.

Hated it all at the time....mainly cos people who'd hated NO for years loved all this stuff which to my ear sounded like NO being done by (very)special needs children.
