How old when yer voice broke

Workin with a Quantity Surveyor at work for a few days , he's already earned the nickname Orville ( may not mean a thing to some younger / non-UK nools , someone may have to put up a picture ), anyway this fella ,nice guy and that but it's like talkin to a lad who is on helium or still in a junior choir .

So after consultin Mamma Mac , I now know me voice broke @ around age 11, lottsa sore throats etc Ma remembers. Ourkid was a bit earlier , Ma said she suspected a Benson and Hedges habit

So how old when yer voice broke ?

Mine did it all wrong. instead of suddenly and mysteriously starting to drop a minor 6th in pitch at bizzarre intervals, before just plain breaking. Mine sort of "bent" and depened reasonably smoothy for the first while...then started spliting the pitches (wind and bowed string players may get what I mean) back UP periodically....then settled out where it should have settled out.

So Cambo , was that this week or a while back ? Dont wanna be a pedantic fecker , but thread title an all that:D

thats a good thing though , Agent Wood . I dont envisage you soundin like Paul Robeson . Lauren Bacall , Kathleen Turner is a good sound fer a lady, not sure if bourbon plays a part though:D

my humbles....12ish I believe, but as I say, more of a gradual thing with hiccups ;)

I was gonna say a loud bang is s'posed to cure the hiccups .... then I thought it thru , I'm not the best fella fer advise sometimes .... well, most times really:(

Kinda hard to get dates at 12 when you sound like Lurch

I do not remember. I used to do a damn fine Mr. Bill impression but I cannot get my voice that high anymore.

My voice breaks every morning after i've been on the beer. I sound like Barry White with a sore throat.

6 tins of redbull and yelling along to a band or records in a fog-machine assaulted room....no voice at all ;)
