Are you saying the Green Acres theme song is in your top 5, or that the Green Acres theme is in your top 5? 'Cos this is a theme song thread, although perhaps I could've been more clear about that...

Are you listening, Mr. Pontiac? :shades:

Totally misunderstood. I thought "theme" as in the basis of of an idea. Like Twilight zone starting the individual scifi stories with moral meanings. If it's the theme SONG than that's completely different. I'd say Greatest American Hero, Cops (though it is way played out), and Perry Mason.

Now, THAT is a good theme song. "Believe it or not, I'm walking on air..."

Wow, I had completely forgotten about that show. I must get those DVDs.

Hmm, okay, I'll take your word for it -- besides I have other DVDs I should be buying anyway.

My DVD collection needs a new cabinet, methinks.

That sounds kind of like Battlestar Galatica. I LOVED that as a kid, couldn't miss it, or get enough of it. Watched an episode five years ago. . .holy crap! It is completely horrible, I think Full House might be better. . .and I HATE Full House! Guess I'll keep the memories of GAH in my mind then, thanks for the heads up.

Might as well add the lovely theme from Mystery Science Theater 3000.

Sonny Sharrock's theme for Space Ghost: Coast To Coast is a short but sweet. :thumb:

I've only seen 1.5 episodes, but it looks pretty good. Way better than the original.

Are you saying that because they were good, or because there were half clad little hotties running all over the place?

It's an adult show. The characters are complex, not one-dimensional. The themes (in the episode I saw) dealt with love, trust, betrayal, regret, guilt. (Some of) the cylons struggle with their missions. The humans are involved in a life-and-death struggle, and sometimes must make morally questionable decisions.

I've only seen 1.5 episodes, but I'd definitely watch more. Not at all about the hotties. Check it out. I'll bet you like it. The grown-up version of the show you loved so much.

I'll try it out. Seems to be less and less watchable stuff on the tv anymore. Sitcoms are so cookiecutter, reality shows annoy the crap out of me, and if i have to watch anymore HGTV (my wife's fav channel), I'm going to scream. Might be a good change of pace.
