I'd love to compare Bush to Hitler, but unfortunately Bush is a fucktard. He doesnt know his ass from his elbow.

I can help him sort that out if he wants to pop by for a visit. :thumb:

You don't really understand your enemy, do you? Not surprising, though, considering the Bush administration is pissing its military away in Iraq while al-Qaeda skates away.

i dare say the only reason iran still has a nuclear program, is because of the likely consequences in Iraq.

So why threaten to annihilate Israel with the nuclear weapons they claim they're not trying to acquire?

I have to say I'm baffled; it's as if they're begging us to attack.

they think they hold all the cards, that's why they are doing it. imagine an attack on iran's nuclear facility, by israel or the usa, how do you think the Shiites in iraq, who have been relatively quiet compared to the Sunnites, would react. iraq would really become a mess and coalition soldiers in far greater danger than they are now. that is probably an understatement.

I think your analysis is spot on. Imagine their surprise, though, if we just cut bait on Iraq because we have bigger fish to fry...like a nuclear Iran.

can we just leave a scrabled egg behind? is that moral? we created this mess, we have to fix it. just don't ask me how.

now for som vaccuming. i already did the bathroom, loo, and all the tiled floors. i am after all expecting the saviour next week.

I'm just saying they may be over-playing their hand if they think we're going to let them go nuclear because we're too busy trying to keep Sunnis and Shiites from killing each other in Iraq.

You're really taking this Easter thing seriously, aren't you?

What would you English boys have done if the U.S. had decided to use "diplomacy" with Hitler, when your backs were against the wall? Oh, I get it, American force was just fine when it was used to save your ass, but now, when we want a little payback, it's somehow not OK?

Something else not to forget: our country was born from war. You see, we had to fight a war to free ourselves from an oppressive, tyrannical, fascist nation. Who was that again? Let me see, let me see . . . Oh yeah, England.

What are you on about?

Interesting how people that are against the involvement in Iraq talk so high-brow and "in-the-know". I think we've traveled down this road once before. Was that not enough?

Iran knows it can fuck with the West because the West needs Persian oil. But I would not be suprised to see an air raid on their nuclear facilities. Precision guided bunker busters. Just like what Israel did to Iraq.

Nope.

Do you think it's possible that people who read *might* be be exposed to a broad perspective of what's going on there, and thus be able to form opinions on the basis of what they know? Do you think it might be possible that people who have been to the middle east *might* have been exposed to a limited perspective of what's going on there?

There is no way in hell we're going to let these nutters get their hands on nuclear weapons. No surprises at all about what we're going to do.

It's not about free speech or your insults towards me Comrade. I'm talking about the immediate attack on those that think differently. It's called respect of another's opinions, that is the only way free speech works. Just because my, and other's, opinions on Iraq are different does not make one ignorant.

The most interesting part is that you can not possibly fathom what is going on there without fully understanding the culture, which can not be done from a computer desk. Second, I have access and have read much of the same information/news that you have been exposed to. That you think the I've had blinders put on me by the government is so Orwellian. I've actually witnessed events, then seen the same event on the news totally misportrayed.

Either way I respect your opinion, and don't attack it everytime someone says something against it or against the current Commander in Cheif. I was in hopes those on the other side could do the same.

Hmmm... shame he deleted the post. Looks like someone's been watching too much Saving Private Ryan again. I'm amused by the constant Hollywood concept of the USA saving England and beating the Germans.

They helped yup, but we gave away our gold reserve and a rather huge amount of money in reparations. History generally shows that Russia did the business, but not many Tom Hanks films about that one.

If you want to watch a decent and reasonably accurate film about the end of WWII, then 'Downfall' is the one. Made by Germans.

And Pontiac, you seem to live in this 'I've been to Iraq' bubble. Perhaps its an intelligence thing, I dunno. Always felt that only a certain strain of people join the military.:evil4:

I think your comments earlier regarding Moussaoui's punishment showed a TOTAL lack of understanding of these people's cultures which you so vehemently claim to be in tune with.

but burt, we had to fight a war to free ourselves from oppression. this allowed us to live hand-in-hand with the indians--like one big happy family, you see.

Yup, Woody. I was addressing the first part of the post rather than the second bit.

Ya can't knock the War of Independence. Ya country hasn't exactly done badly since...
