i've just downloaded their debut album. anyone else listen to them? much better than the white stripes, methinks.

Its alright I suppose. Steady As She Goes is a tune. Up there with Fell In Love With a Girl and Black Math as Jack Whites finest.

Steady As She Goes is the only track I know. Its played on my radio. I dont know much about the band, sounds different. In general - ok.

From what I've heard, it sounds remarkably like middle to late Beatles. A bit of White Stripes and a bit of Beck also, to mine ear. OK, but nothing special. I'd have to give it several listens to know better though.

of course it's better than the white stripes - brendan's involved!

it's okay - nothing spectacular. I'm really sick of the press hyping all of these vapid bands ie arctic monkeys. What's next on nme's list?

what's with this jack guy, getting weirder looking with the more money he has? I remember seeing white stripes before breaking out and he never looked that 'dark' and grubby.
