The food of course (but then it better be good, we Brits pay enough for it via the CAP). We eat complete swill in comparison, no matter how many poncy TV celebrity chefs try and claim otherwise.

(Why the French aren't fat is one of life's mysteries. All that good food, all those restaurants, and no fatties. Or is it only Paris? Is Paris patrolled by a special branch of the Surete, the Chic Police, who arrest anyone with a BMI>25 or any woman who is less than stylishly dressed, and haul them off to re-education camps, where amongst other things, they are forced to wear nicotine patches till they take up a heavy Galouis habit so they lose their appetite? Yes, I think that must be it.)

I've wondered that about the French. Also about the Argentinians. They'll be eating steaks at midnight, and they're still thin!
