20-odd years?!

You pikey!

I left Luton aged 18, never to look back. :thumb:

Goes without saying though, I'll still hate you lot when I'm 80. Natch.

Well, from birth until I went to Uni, hence the 20-odd years, I did return after graduating but that year just made me intent to do something with my life and go and live somewhere nice! Was back there a couple of weeks ago, it's either gone downhill or I had a fcuking rough deal for those first years of my life... And as for the life-long 'hatred'... Yup, me too...

if you look closely at the map (admittedly not of redcar) you'll see that the point where streetmap thought redcar was, is in the north sea - illustrated by an arrow. that was the comedy element of the image but I was unclear in my reasoning for showing this picture.

Aw i, still looks like an orange cock pointing the way to Sweden :skeptic:

I saw the creator interviewed on TV once. He was now, like, eighty years old or something, and was virtually in tears at the suggestion that he'd try and sneak anything so disgusting into children's televisions (or was it based on a book, can't remember).

Yep he used to make money doing talks in schools and such but that all went belly up after all the myths started.

WARNING: Urban myths could seriously affect your bank balance. use with caution.

I believe the whole 'Roger the Cabin Boy' etc was all started by one Victor Lewis-Smith, writing in one of the nationals.

People accepted it as fact just cos they'd read it in a paper.
