Blender magazine has come up with a list of the wussiest rock artists of all time, and the wussiest rock songs of all time.
Here are the top 10 wussiest artists: 10. Hilary Duff 9. Chris Martin 8. Babyface 7. Rascal Flatts 6. Kenny G 5. Peter Cetera 4. Boyz II Men 3. Dan Folgelberg 2. Nick Lachey

  1. James Taylor

Here is the The Blender Wussiest Songs Ever List (alphabetically by artist):

Air Supply/All Out of Love

James Blunt/You're Beautiful

Debby Boone/You Light Up My Life

Bread/If

Captain & Tennille/Muskrat Love

Chicago/You're the Inspiration

Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young/Our House

Dan Fogelberg/Longer

Taylor Hicks/Do I Make You Proud

Dan Hill/Sometimes When We Touch

Michael Jackson/She's Out of My Life

Loggins & Messina/Danny's Song

'N Sync/God Must Have Spent a Little More Time on You

Lionel Richie/Hello

Simon & Garfunkel/Scarborough Fair

Stevie Wonder/I Just Called to Say I Love You

I agree with most of this. Nick Lachey always sounds like he's about to cry when he's singing. I think Enrique Iglesias should be on the list though (he's no Julio!) and I'm a bit surprised to see Boyz II Men here. Peter Cetera must be a super wuss because he's on the list as a solo artist, plus on the wussy song list as a member of Chicago. A little surprised to see Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder songs on the list. I kinda like Scarborough Fair, I didn't realize that it's a wussy song! I pretty much agree with all the other stuff on the list though.

:abovelol: The point is she could have been in the bay city rollers or other such cheesy drivel and been more 'Rock' than some of the saps listed above....

By the way.....She wasn't in the bay city rollers; Although she was Scottish and a very fine and feisty lady

Dunno  I agree it's a pretty loose interpretation. I guess anything that's not classical, country, or jazz is being considered rock.

Photograph - Nickelback

Look at this photograph Every time I do it makes me laugh How did our eyes get so red? And what the hell is on Joey’s head?

And this is where I grew up I think the present owner fixed it up I never knew we ever went without The second floor is hard for sneakin’ out

And this is where I went to school Most of the time had better things to do Criminal record says I broke in twice I must’ve done it half a dozen times

I wonder if it’s too late Should I go back and try to graduate? Life’s better now than it was back then If I was them, I wouldn’t let me in Oh oh oh Oh god I, I

Every memory of looking out the back door I had the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor It’s hard to say it Time to say it Goodbye, goodbye Every memory of walking out the front door I found the photo of the friend that I was looking for It's hard to say it Time to say it Goodbye, goodbye

Goodbye

Remember the old arcade Blew every dollar that we ever made The cops hated us hangin' out They say somebody went and burned it down

We used to listen to the radio And sing along with every song we’d know We said someday we’d find out how it feels To sing to more than just the steering wheel

Kim's the first girl I kissed I was so nervous that I nearly missed She’s had a couple of kids since then I haven’t seen her since God knows when Oh oh oh Oh god I, I

Every memory of looking out the back door I had the photo album spread out on the bedroom floor It’s hard to say it Time to say it Goodbye, goodbye Every memory of walking out the front door I found the photo of the friend that I was looking for It's hard to say it Time to say it Goodbye, goodbye

I miss that town

I can't believe it So hard to stay Too hard to leave it

If I could relive those days I know the one thing that would never change

Every memory of looking out the back door I had the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor It’s hard to say it Time to say it Goodbye, goodbye Every memory of walking out the front door I found the photo of the friend that I was looking for It's hard to say it Time to say it Goodbye, goodbye

Look at this photograph Every time I do it makes me laugh Every time I do it makes me...

Um...hardly any of those musicians/singers on the list are genre-wise "rock"...:skeptic: Anyways, this is pop culture for the moronic masses...

Hey, it's not my list. I'm just reporting. It's all wuss music though (except maybe Scarborough Fair)

Probably my favorite Seattle band, though I used to like Soundgarden quite a bit. They've worn thin on me though.

I mentioned that earlier as well, my comments were not meant in any way to be directed at you babes.:thumb:

I don't think Scarborough Fair is wussy I think it's just very representative of it's time, I like it although I prefer 'the 59th street bridge song'(feelin' groovy.)

Nowt wrong with a bit of Simon and Garfunkel every now and then, in my opinion;

Played an old tape when my sister was driving us to Wales recently and she said it cured her road rage because she couldn't get mad whilst listening to 'at the zoo' :thumb:

As far as songs go Hotel California and Imagine. Artists I'll have to think about.

What, no Coldplay? Though I suppose one of the Coldplay soundalikes like Keane or The Fray would be ever wussier. And those emo bands are wussy as all get out. "I wish my lawn was emo so it would cut itself."

While I whole-heartedly agree with James "Carolina on My Mind" Taylor getting the wussiest artist award, this is decidedly a list with little or no fangs. All easy targets, all catering to the mindless "hip set" who buy into whatever ethos Blender (which is an offshoot of Maxim, btw...lad's magazines both) is trying to put across. "Oh, you've just ripped Hilary Duff a new one...granted, no one will remember her in twenty years, but good job!" :nonono:

Between Rolling Stone being stuck in the AOR-style Seventies and Blender catering to the idiots who've never even heard of anything not "new rock" or "nu-metal", I'm giving up on the validity of any music magazine and the "lists of greatest bowel movements captured on tape" they put out

 I don't even agree with any music magazine's list of anything anyways...

I don't even buy music magazines anymore; they cost too much if they're imports like Mojo or Q, the articles can be read easily within a few minutes in whatever bookstore or convenience store you happen to be in, and they almost never have anything new to say about anything at all. It's just a waste of trees, basically. Music journalism has become shit, with high-strung out-of-it former hippies propping up their favorite artists of the past and with-it hipsters telling me that if I don't own the latest five-song EP by some indie band in upper Manhattan who replaced the "conventional sounds of rock and roll, i.e., guitars and drums" with beating on garbage cans and singing their vocals upside down under water, I don't deserve to continue reading the article.

But enough about how Tiger Beat sucks... :p
