Yeah, "Land of Rape & Honey" rocks. And is so different from their early stuff, like Every Day is Halloween.

i finally got the byne/eno collaboration..sounds good so far.

Marquee Moon is amazing...not any virtuoso playing but the interplay of the guitar lines is hypnotic. Nice to see a "punk band" that is not merely pissed off.

and the title cut is quickly becoming one of my fave guitar songs...

I just picked up "Marquee Moon" a couple of weeks ago. I was completely blown away. Amazing band.

I like this band.

Hmm... what have I been listening to lately...

Bob Wratten stuff... Field Mice, Northern Picture Library, Trembling Blue Stars. A friend got me into it recently. LOVE NPL's Alaska especially. Not too impressed with the Occasional Keepers (collaboration with members of The Wake). I expected much from that, though.

Early 80s Factory stuff like Section 25, The Names, The Wake, Crispy Ambulance, ACR. All great stuff.

Yes, I recently raided the LTM backcatalogue.

What else...

Talking Heads, particularly their Eno period.

New stuff from Halou, PSB, Strokes, Grandaddy. Not too impressed with the Thom Yorke record. Not too impressed with most new music from this year, actually.

Paul van Dyk's Politics of Dancing 2 compilation... trance music sent down from heaven.

Longwave... fantastic indie band from New York. Saw them open up for Doves last year. The Strangest Things is a knock you on your ass gorgeous record.

Any! That's the beauty of them, i've got nearly every Hed Kandi CD that's been made. I can stick any of them on and know it will be good. Perfect summer listening
